Considering we have Switch tracks, drop tracks, and so much more, as well as literally almost every single coaster/ride from the first game, I feel like people under estimate how much Frontier listens to their community. This game is going to be great, its literally a direct upgrade from both Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo, it looks amazing. Just wait til you get your hands on it, Just like Rudi said, when you're actually playing it, you will realize how much of a upgrade this game really is

Sadly, the UI is made for consoles, so PC players probably won't see much of a change. They may improve some features, but I doubt we will see an overhaul of it.

But, it is exactly the purpose of an alpha stage to gather and receive feedback from testing so please, if anyone asks for your feedback be completely honest and transparent. You know what is a minor change, but a huge graphical improvement? At 2:45 when, when Silv is moving a rock, the texture changes based on the position. This means than even two of the exact same rocks placed in the same orientation are going to look slightly different. I think this will be a much bigger graphical improvement than we realise now.

what game doesnt have DLCs anymore? i have over 3,000 mostly glorious happy hours in PC1, even if you paid full price for everything, the entertainment value bang for the buck is unreal.

I think why people comment on the graphics is because on all youtube videos, it doesn't look sharp. It's probably because you got depth of field on, which is the first thing I turn off in games.

The only thing I really want to change is the restraints on the coasters, most of the over the shoulder restraints are the same, which takes away from the realism. I mean Planco 1 had coasters with their own restraint styles according to the real world manufactures designs, so why not Planco 2? They have even specified in game manufacturers, which is a lovely detail, but then why have a lot of rides with the same restraints that don’t fit the coaster type at all. I do hope this is just a placeholder for now, maybe they need to finish some models, but yeah better restraints before release pls.

Love the game overall. Hoping for station options and the ability to build coasters backwards and put piece in certain places that we can connect too. Really want a city coaster with scenes on certain floors of the towers and being able to place coaster right where they need to be on the floor and then fo back and connect track to it is important. Same thing with being able to place stations for people movers at a certain spot is important for overall look. Then i can go back and connect track to those stations. Really like my teain stations hidden in buildings that are part of the building 4x4 framework. DLC is going to be awesome. Hope we get campaign expansions as well as just new rides and themes.

Im sure it'll take some getting used to, and I'm a bit disappointed that some of the themes from the first game aren't present at launch, but this has quickly become my most anticipated game! Im sure we'll see a ton of great post launch support for years to come, as well!

I'm very excited for PC2 😁but I wont be pre-ordering or getting it at release.. I've learnt my lesson with frontier and know that it always takes them at least 6 months after release to get all the major bugs ironed out. I didn't pick up Planet Zoo until almost 2 years after it released and I had absolute blast with it, everything worked right out the box and there was a ton of extra content out, which I got cheap on an offer. Soooo much better experience than I had with Planet Coaster 1 buying and paying on its bug filled release.

i’ve preordered the deluxe!! The game is already everything i dreamed of and more, though i do agree with the improvements you mentioned, especially UI and stations. When the game is complete i have faith that a lot of these improvements will have been made, like you said Frontier seems to have really listened to our feedback which gives me a lot of hope. I see the point you make on the builder UI. I agree. I believe they will fix that. I'm sure they understand us PC players by now. The UI needs to be separated from the console editions. We PCers like our mice and keyboards. Consoles love their controllers. I also hope there is more coloring in the foilage and not that just one shade of green.

The only thing keeping me from pre-ordering is the missing function to replace objects in advanced move. It would actually be a deal breaker for me, since building actual stuff would be so annoying and time consuming that i would rather do something else with my time, like going outside lol. Its probably the most used function in the game and they cancelled it. I really hope they'll fix it, bc without that all the other great additions are basically worthless

So far I really like what they did with PC2, all the features they've implementet are promising and leave room for even more new stuff (like the backwards drop from Kärnan, idk if its already in the game or not, but it would be such a cool detail). The only real thing that I still wonder is if you can finally adjust the height of towered flatrides. I think I already suggested that in one of your PC2 speculation videos. When you look at rides like the observation tower, its just huge and looks kinda out of place when you want to build a smaller park, so if they add this feature too, the game would be perfect.

The problem which I have seeing gameplay is that the water rides like the flume and rapids look so bad compared to the other rides in this game. They really need to remodel the flume and the rapid ride with a huge overhaul before releasing the game. A square box with a turn table is so unrealistic. They messed up in PlanCo1 on the water rides and it seems they have made the same mistakes in PlanCo 2.

Rudi - we need better (lower) clearance on raised paths crossing over pools and or other paths. Any clue where this is at? I saw another video where a path had to be very high above a pool or it would simply fill in the pool, unlike a nice little resort style path / bridge over a pool

Best review! Only minor thing you missed: The current switch track is not really usable: I'm not aware of any real coaster that has a switch track with a 20 meter straight piece right after the switch , looks/works very boring. I hope in future they will add the ability to add a hill with rollback after it. For me as a management player I'm glad to see some of the menu's, but so far it seems the relationship between a good park and number of guests seem to be totally faked. So the whole aspect of making more money if you build a good park is broken (again). I.e. in one video there were "172% guests are stuck", but still the park was growing and had 4.2 stars.

What attraction was in your screen shot that was part of six still images? The attraction was in the aquatic theme, held two guests, and looked like a track ride. It reminded me of the doom buggies of the Haunted Mansion. Is that the ghost train coaster or something new?

New themes and the better pathing is really all i needed...and for me with the smoothing of the coasters, i found the 12 meter autocomplete method by plancobyseb is really easy and makes things nice and smooth, im guessing that will still work with the way pieces fit together...either way i cant wait to get into it and test this all out

what bothers me the most is AGGRESSIVE movement of the trees, way too fast and too big of movements, like a storm is moving in. a video i say the other day the main trunk of the tree was swaying quite a bit. i think it is on fast forward and the people are moving normal speed.

The vanilla ride style makes me think some of the DLC will be themed packs like epic universe and other IP’s kind of like the first game. I’m perfectly fine with paying for DLC. People will complain no matter what decision Frontier makes as they drink their 7 dollar Starbucks coffee. I applaud them for including so many things that I know were just not possible with the first game. I’m honestly so glad they waited to announce the game as late as they did. I hate having to wait 6 months to a year for a game to be released after they announce it.

How do people get to play the game before its official release?

My computer meets most of the requirements except that it is running windows 8.1 with dx11. 2 requires 10 with dx12. I don’t want to give up Media Center so I have a spare computer that I can put win 10 on but it doesn’t have a nvidia card or anything, just onboard video so I will need to find a cheap card on ebay or something. I can download win 10 from Microsoft for free and use it without a key.

My wishful thinking makes me believe this alpha y'all played is just the console version with some keyboard and mouse keybinds assigned. Considering that the game uses Direct x12, compared to Planco 1 which used x11, we can assume that at least the game will take much better advantage of modern CPU cores. So far there don't seem to be any performance issues in the gameplays that are running on KZbin. Planco with 6000 visitors was already starting to run badly, Planco 2 on the other hand did not.

No, its simply the way youtube works and I adapted to it. I´m tired to answer, but I´ll do anyways. If you follow this channel, you´d know this. Especially after my UI video. its just proven, that KZbin pushes videos that way about 3-4x Sure, I can actively hide my stuff like I did for over 6 years and creepe around 1000 views because of that. Or I just do this, and 99% of the people simply understand it. And btw, it really doesn´t matter what I do :) Last week when I showed my hype because of dark rides etc, half of the comments were "you are paid stfu" Then I did a very critical video about the UI, and a lot of comments were like "you are being so negative, dude its just an alpha" And now people are "weren´t you honest before?" So yeah, here you go.

maybe you can upload such short videos in 4K, then of course it looks completely different :-) Do you think we'll get backstage props/assets like in Planet Zoo (pallets, ladders, shelves, buckets, garbage bags etc.) and also cars etc. for parking lots? We also need lockers and things like that for more realism. And definitely the brown mulch from the pots as separate parts in several sizes round and square, that's important 🙂 What I think is great and didn't even know, you can automatically place ash bins and benches on paths and determine the distances, that's cool and even select several fences, that saves a lot of time!!! Maybe scaling to 25% would be even cooler and I hope they will adapt the UI as you have described. And yes, other stations would have been great, unfortunately the visitors still don't queue up completely, only the people who get on and everyone else stays on the way. That could at least have been adjusted... Red stones and a desert texture will come with a western DLC I think, I don't know if there is sand for pirates yet. And real bridges would be great at some point... It's a shame that there's no early access to buy like with part 1, I would have paid 20 euros more, I'd like to get started :-) Looking forward to more videos from you 🤩

Honestly considering PZ is still going strong like 7yrs later I'd say a higher price for the PC2 base game is pretty reasonable

Avoiding similar themes as previous games might be part of Frontier's public reaction management. That worries me, as we may no longer be able to theme around spooky, fantasy, sci-fi, or western again

Hard to believe they won't bring back the most common park themes later. Especially pirates work so well with water park features.

"They" gave us path in blueprints, an overhauled path system and water parks, all great things we asked for, and yet for some reason i just can't bring myself to care.
