@azwasaaidns3936
@azwasaaidns3936 Жыл бұрын
@@bohu4586because iChang did mentioned about pork at d end of d video. Plus, this restaurant is basically run by non Muslim (Chinese I guess) & no halal certificate was on their menu. Fruit is halal of course, but there are much more factors to consider. Particularly if it involves the sharing usage of kitchen utensils, it's still considered prohibited/ non halal for Muslim to eat/ consume any foods. Basically we don't know if ramen is merely simple broth or mixing of pork meat, so it's another point to ponder too

I'm a non-Muslim viewer from America who has never been to Malaysia but my husband and I want to go there based on your videos. No need to apologize at all, Malaysia is such a diverse country, after all. Chinese/Nyonya cuisine such as bak kuh teh and babi pongteh uses pork but you wouldn't apologize for eating that, would you? It's as much a part of Malaysian culture so everyone will understand you trying everything the country has to offer, since that's what you're there to do.

Malaysian here, just a heads up. "Babi" means pig/pork but it can be used as a cuss word. So yeah, use it with context and a bit of caution to avoid any misunderstanding. By any means, come to Malaysia. Enjoy yourselves here. Protip, research about our monsoon season first. If you plan to come during year end (Dec - Jan), expect daily rain.

Top marks for diplomacy and the ability to find kind words. Usually, when the sum of its parts adds to nothing and fails to enhance anything - i.e. they are preferred separately - it's not a good combination. YMMV. Taste is individual. Businesses make their own choices and face the consequences. Wish them the best of luck with this...

Kudos to the Japanese chef who created this FUSION food, Durian Ramen. It is all about creativity, to develop new products, thinking outside the box, to increase clientele base of the eatery. Instead of cooking up a direct copy-cat version of a popular legendary dish like Char Kway Teow. Very obvious that lots of thoughts & hard work had been invested in the ultimate creation of this ramen. It is NOT a disrespect to local Malaysian culture.

Honest reviews 😊 If durians go well with slightly salty pulut and santan, maybe the ramen dish can be created along that line 😊

Me: Ooooh I wld love to hear Jimmy's interesting observation and experience - smell/ taste/ texture, etc Jimmy: I can't really taste because I lost sense of smell after having Covid 3 weeks ago... LOL... :D :D funny la. But interesting place. At end of the texture of the ramen/ soup, looks like Pengat Durian already. Hee.
