For your learning, Jimmy. If the cake cracks, it means the upper crust was formed too fast while the cake is still rising as it is being baked. Likely because it was due to small oven, with the upper heating element being too close to cake surface. You may use slightly lower temperature next time to try overcome this issue. Best solution is of course get a bigger oven :) But, you did a great job. Well done!

Just a tip for Jimmy:- 1. When you bake (any) cakes, you can use toothpick or 'satay lidi' to check if the cake is ready. Simply poke in the midle of cakes, if there's no batter stick on it, that's mean your cake is cooked. You may take it out even tho the cake is still jiggly cos it still hot. Once cold, the cake will be okay. 2. Never ever cut the cake when it's still hot... 😂😂😂 Best luck for both of you. Looking forward for your next video 🤗🤗🤗

happy birthday ichang🥳🥳🥳 Jimmy, as someone who rarely baking u did a very good job👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 that was amazing! well done👏🏼👏🏼 if i can share here, the reason why on top of the cake surface crack because of the temperature is hot on the top..the size of the oven also contribute to the factor why its crack.. if u bake next time, try to lower the temperature, but its gona take longger time to cook. another tips here, if u wanna a check either ur cake is cook or not, try to use something like bamboo stick, & poke it into the cake.. if it come out clean, means it cook..if its still wet means its still non done yet.. and lastly, if u wanna cut the cake, make sure the cake already cool.. if not, it easier to break into pieces..moreover if the cake based is soft like this cake😉 anyways, i just wanna share some tips with the rest here, who knows it can be benefit other people.. i am not here to judge jimmy at all😊 just amaze with his skills to bake a cake..splendid job after all Jimmy👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Happy birthday Icang♥️

Happy birthday I Chang. You can't cut the cake when it's hot. It will break into pieces. To check the doneness, use a satay stick to poke the cake in the center. If it comes out clean then it's cooked
