I'm kinda sad that every reviewer I trust seems to agree that the story is the weakest part of the expansion. Contrary to most a huge draw for me to diablo is the story and lore. Also I heard Lorath is completely absent which seems like a crime lol. Anyways, I'll be playing for sure. I think I'll go centipede/eagle or sth like that.

I'm one of the players where the story is one of the main draws. I've been invested in diablo since 96. The VoH campaign is objectively the worse campaign. The writing is horrible and is literally a "power of friendship" story. Nothing happens at all, except the friends you made along the way.

Is it just me or am I not seeing a lot of marketing with this. I only knew about this because I followed other content creators following it. I may pick it back up eventually. Start completely over and really take in the new story and season stuff.

Because the game is a failure and Blizz knows it. No one is going to pay that much money for a expansion of a game that is still in beta, that they stopped playing long time ago and disapointed everyone. They lost our trust on the game. Maybe i'll play it when xpacs will be on sale and they got their shit together, done with tweaking every aspect of the game that is badly designed. But PoE 2 will be out by then and actually free.

Might depend what the algos have done on your feeds. I am dialed into diablo all the time and i get them pushing vids in front of my timelines.. on insta.. they have ads.. twitter/X too.

The devs are constantly changing things and adding content (it's a live service game), so now is as good as any.

Personally very excited to pick this up but boy October is stacked. I actually think it's a good idea we're slowly working our way back up to Diablo, despite "Diablo not being in a Diablo game". Adds longevity and purpose to these expansions as they come out, it will certainly keep me coming back
