I've put almost 3k hours into this game as an mnk player, 90% of the time playing soloq and with the mmr and sbmm changes, ranked being weird and overall state of the game being stale and catered to rollers, even though I had stockholm syndrome cuz of the money and time spent learning movement tech, I can happily say that I have finally moved onto other games

it's not so much the base state of controller that's the issue its that a vast majority of pred console players that swap to pc are using a cronus maybe not even for the recoil but just the added aim assist. and that added aim assist makes controllers just completely busted vs anything else including other noncheating controller players. if respawn grew some courage and desided to make apex a kernel access game to prevent all the rampant cheating like cronus then i think people would not have half the problem with it that they do now.

The thing about past seasons imo is not that they were better or that it was actually better for content creators.. the game was not 16 seasons old and people were not burnt out so it felt fresh, now the game is almost 5 years old and is getting very stale. As for content, all content ideas have been farmed, people are unable to come up with fresh content mostly because no one is really trying anything different or new and its very hard now to come up with something different and new because its all been explored.

I've never really had a huge problem with solo que ranked in the past. Some seasons were better than others but I always did ok. This new system that requires me to win games at a specific time with random people to rank up is the biggest slap in the face I've ever experienced. I literally failed two trails last night and after both failures I won one on the way up to do the trails again. I'm literally sitting here saying to myself "you can't make this #$%# up!" I'm not opposed to difficult situations or the beatings you can take along the way. But those "random magic" pop off games just happen when they happen and I need them to benefit me unconditionally. I still play and I try to just not care but I've never felt this defeated in the 3 years I've been around...

sbmm makes game too hard, there needs to be a balance, we should get 2/10 sweat, 3/10 average, 5/10 bot lobbies, also we gotta understand that casuals don't really care about it though, they will camp , get 1, 2 kills per game, win and they will be happy, but in terms of content, getting high kill games, to be quite honest, bot lobbies are content creator's best friend, i used to play warzone and i remember people use to complain, oh, his vpn to bot lobbies, but little did they know, these people would play for 8 to 10 hours, and get 1-3 youtube games, its just how it is, and also, people have to understand that the more aggressive you play, you put yourself at more risk of being killed, but to get high kills games, or content, we have to play aggro, but the game, or any battle royale just never rewards that, battle royale games are designed for people to win, not the get high kills, and say what you want, but that is just how it is, and honestly, in a way, it's good, because it makes it a challenge, or else, it would be too easy, and good or high kill games wouldn't be of any value, there are a couple things they can do right now that will actually revive the game, nerf aim assist, nerf console to 0.5, pc to 0.3, fix audio, not hearing footsteps when we dont get uav like in warzone or we can build and create cover in fortnite is just cringe, fix sbmm, add a new legend and new gun every season, 12 tick servers gotta go, you know, this is just like warzone, they were super popular the first 1,2 years on release, they took the bag and then from there, they don't care anymore, because no matter how shit the game becomes, the casuals will still play, but all the content creators that made the game known, that are still making content, stuff em, who cares about them, they are too far in to quit the game, to be honest, i think respawn and these companies just don't care, they have bagged the money, they really dont need anymore, money change people man, seriously, if finals pop off, im going all into it

The game can only die because it does not allow new players to play fair lobbies. No veteran can get their mate to come play because after the bot lobbies you get put against the super sweaty crowd and that's the end of that.

It's not even about a lack of content, which is an issue (collection events arent content). The issue with Apex is that this late into it's life cycle there is no casual play anymore. Pubs has become a sweatfest where everyone hotdrops and tries to 4k 20 bomb like their favorite streamer, because that's how they see them play the game. Ironically this was also an issue with Titanfall near the end of that as well. I've tried to get friends into it but the game gives ZERO incentive to actually learn or even TEACH the movement, gunplay, strategy etc that makes the game good. People see characters with ability cooldowns & just think it'll be like some kind of Overwatch experience only to get 3-2-1'd by the first semi-coordinated team in pubs. It's garbage. And for a game that wants so hard to be marketed as an esport the devs can't even settle on a ranked system for more than 3 seasons so it's just a schizophrenic experience even IF you play it regularly. I don't know. I'm done with it at this point, it sucks to see such wasted potential.

After 2k hours I uninstalled about three hours before watching this... Ranked feels like a beta test where bronze rank you get same pred lobbies as gold or plat. The ltm is broken and bugged. The new ballistic skin is bugged. They push purchases but fail to make the game fresh, especially when compared to other games. The new update is unstable too with lag and closing bugs. There's more macro users and xim users I've noticed than ever. This isn't what anybody wants for Apex and it's sad to see a game with such a great foundation be buried under greed and carelessness.

Main issue is sbmm. I cant play with anyone because you have to be so good at the game to atleast wipe squads. Its that sweaty. Im in lobbys with top preds, 100k kills on one legend people, like how is that fun for my friends who are super average, or me for that matter, as im just a 1kd player, playing to chill.

Console player here and the games feels even worse if console. The amount of people that use Cronus and Zens to cheat is insane. I’m sure it’s a lot of pc too but it’s pretty much everybody on console, so yeah it’s pretty bad and the only way I play is getting lucky not being put in a lobby of 3 stack preds with no life cheating.

Great video bro. Apex is at a point where its stale and repetitive. Its amplified by the issues they are not addressing. Hopefully the finals amd other fps games put some pressure on respawn to make changes. For me the biggest issues: AA, visual clutter, aim punch, sbmm, character balancing.

apex has always had an MMR problem. as an OG player i solo qued ranked in season 3 to get a dive trail securing diamond. after that on console i have always been matched in lobbies full of 3 stack predators. towards season 8 and 9 a whole year after i still got matched against 3 stack predators with more kills on a single character then i had on my entire account and it honestly killed the game for me. ended up only returning with cross play to play PC but even now i think i am only going to complete the season for the credits and uninstall. and content wise i completely agree, there has not been anything added to the game that changed the feel of it ever. i remember when the community was so excited for season 2 and all the changes it made to kings canyon (still best season in my opinion) and all the town takeovers that were added early on. i feel like the quality of town takeovers has significantly dropped, Wraith, Octane and Caustic got amazing town takeovers, that added a unique playable space with a unique mechanic, Watson though is literally just a building with a room filled with lore, no cool mechanics, no fences that activate with a button like Caustics, just a room in a tower

I guess making NEW things is the proper thing to do, but I do not watch it becuase of that. I personally like the game, the main thing I do not like about the game is the ESG / LGTxxx thing. I love faide and ex but district has helped me improve so much and helped me drop my first 4K 20 and I love dazs' videos like this one where he plays the game and talks about it and the state of all things at the same time. Games dry of content but I've only been playing a year so it still has my best interest because of the mechanics

I play solo. I mainly play ranked because teammates take it more seriously & can’t just drop, die & leave (if I wanted to solo this game I would’ve went into duos). I love apex like you said, the gunfights & movement make it hard to play any other game. I’m a little better than average and with how sbmm works in pubs & mmr in ranked- I don’t have the care/patience anymore. this was ok in past ranked systems but with this mmr nonsense I cannot understand why to even play. What is the point of the rank if we’re all the same? my low level ranks should be same as my higher level ranks? it’s just sbmm with precision- why pretend there are ranks. so now pubs & ranked are the exact same thing every game. it gets old. why am I constantly (feels like 70% of the time) having least double my teammate’s damage if we die in the first 1/3 of the game? I am not good enough to carry my teammates 70-80% of the time respawn?! I’m too old to be focused 100% the time like these kids. the game moving more to abilities over gunplay is killing it too. I have to put 350 into a revenant shortly after drop with my blue shield to win the 1v1? I can’t outplay cause I subtracted the damage I done to a player (while my teammates are down) cause conduit just resheilded them even though I know they haven’t healed? can fuse not equip a gun anymore? ballistic can just auto aim me into not being able shoot my gun? major part of viewership & people not playing right now is cause this is time other games come out or do big content updates. but I don’t think that’s only reason why, shit is getting tiring playing same shit over & over against sweaty lobbies of 3 stacks on top of it being same old shit & less being about gunplay. I’d be fine with no content changes every 3 months if I didn’t have to get on feeling like money is on the line for all the opponents.

I stopped playing around Season 9 and never looked back. I think something that I always think about is Respawn devs talking about how Titanfall was hard to sell because of its advanced and hard to learn nature. The irony is I stopped playing Apex largely because of that exact reason. The game at high echelons of play has become a brutal meta movement sweatfest. Part of me hopes the game fully falls off, it would liberate tons of devs haha.

I've been playing Apex since it was released and honestly have been experiencing a burn out on the game for this season and even technically last season aswell. Despite this, I honestly have never had any problems with the game and I still don't. I'm completely fine with how the solo Q experience is and am not worried about being matched with higher skilled players. I still enjoy Apex for what it is and the only reason I am burnt out on it has been because I chose to not take any breaks when playing or thinking about the game. After a couple of weeks, I'm feeling much better and I'm honestly ready to get back into this season with a fresh start.

I really hope Apex Legends could like, stop thinking of producing events and new skins. The community of Apex Legends should be more respected and appreciated, they should be paid with enough reward. To listen more about the player base, players are the GOD of the game because without them the game is nothing, APEX NEED LEGENDS TO BECOME APEX LEGENDS, in that sense, Pro teams should be given much more attention, ALGS shouldn't just be a bunch of self-select team. People complain about Apex doesn't mean they don't like the game, is that people are hoping this could get better.

I stopped apex a month ago finally after 4 years. I feel like I have proven to the game, that I am not that good a player with an avg kd 0f 0.7 over 14 seasons and only getting a 2.5k twice. Somehow the game tho still drops me into the highest tier possible and getting one clipped by a dude that has 15k kills on their main is my every game experience Except these days I cant even play fun pathfinder escapes vc guess what sweaty ass pred octanes will hunt me down to the end of the map. This game is a joke for a casual player that doesnt dedocate 4 hours a day to gaming. If you want to have fun, apex is not the game. Thats is why I went back to bo2 and bo3 zombies on console and custom zombies on PC R.I.P. old friend Apex (2019 - 2023)

It has been crystal clear that rEAspawn absolutely HATES the solo-queuer. They have implemented so many advantages to people that 3 stack for the past 2-3 years that I only play pubs duos, and I no-fill half the time. Ranked hasn't been "fun" for several seasons, and Mixtape is cool for a few games, but the matchmaking in that mode is bad too. If you're a solo-q player that doesn't have a 4-6 KD/R, there's no way for you to make up for your level 50 teammates. It's beyond frustrating that the developers only cater to the streamers and pros, and occasionally the noobs, but if you've been playing for a while, and are pretty decent, you get nothing from the devs to make your experience better.

First of all, hey wassup cutie 😏 Second of, the game is no longer fun and I agree with what you're saying. But my main complaint is the FUCKING hidden mm. I cannot play the game. Before this change, I saw a pred MAYBE once every 2 months. Now, I see them every 2 games, no exaggeration. And I'm not doing good in any of my games anymore, neither can I practice because I do not get a single chance to stay alive. I would rather have it the old way, and see 2 - 3 smurfs every game than to have lobbies that are majority master and preds. I have gotten progressively worse at the game, as it is rare that I'm facing an opponent of similar skill. I either get thanos snapped, cuz 3 stacks always do the strat where they focus one person at a time, or get precision lazered by a pred. Another thing that pisses me off to the limits is the secrets movement/ techniques, example is lemondhead with his leviosa movement. That guy literally flies. Any available technique, no matter what it is, should be explained, showed, and even taught in game. Otherwise should be bannable as it is unofficial but that's just my take.

I played my first ranked match of season 19 a few days ago and died to the rank 239 pred from season 18. I'm a hardstuck diamond with a 1.8 kd. So close to being completely done with this game. Im a day 1 player, and I believe apex has honestly evolved into the game it was going to, and now that's it. It is what it is. No matter what anybody says, fortnite is going to honestly go on for many many many years. Simply because of how much actual content it has. And with the finals coming out and actually being a solid game, apex doesn't have many eyes on it and I think unless they completely revamped the game or added TONS of new actual content and gamemodes. This is the downfall. It's stale, samey and nothing new to do ever, ranked is always a mess and as you said you get punished for being a half decent player. I've actually quit playing apex completely now, and can't bring myself back unless it drastically changes in alot of big ways. I'll always love it but the enjoyment has gone. On a more positive note. I'll watch whatever games you post as you are cool to watch dude, but not apex content as its stale now

apex REALLY made me not want to play after holding cross progression for YEARS and then dropping it... and I can't even use it! Ranked is not ranked, pubs is only playable when the sweats leave to the LTMs and mixtape is unbelievably unbalanced and punishing. At this point, even trash like Fortnite and Cod look appealing thanks to how absolute dogshit EA is at taking care of their cash cow. definitely i personally feel apex legends is more of a "hardcore" game and i also think most of the audience of this game so far has not even been into the game the way YOU have been into the game. i really think most people play apex like it is fall guys or something. i remember watching my bro play the game saying wow this game is really complex and so forth and he's just like, nawh its really pretty simple really straight forward. most people kinda just lazily played this cool futuristic game with good graphics that was free to play. the reality is the reason most people stuck to this game was extremely shallow. i think in general we have just noticed a lot of people getting less interested in videogames and i think as that continues apex will fall in playerbase its not about the game being bad or anything of that nature but rather what most people want to do on a day to day basis. edit: want to add i think games that are turbo casual will maybe see less of this fall. games like cod or fortnite. apex legends is probably the only game on the market where pub stomping via a single player is actually a very common thing. the point being, i think apex legends is going to be the game we see fall hardest because it is so much "work". quake live/champions cant fall in playerbase because the playerbase is already the hardcore playerbase lol.

I’ve been trying to grind 10k kills on catalyst and so far I just need 2k more kills and pubs has been atrocious. I play on console and the amount of 3 stacks I run into is crazy… it’s either pub stompers or pred teams and I get teammates that are new or still in the process of getting into the game. I do 3 stack myself time to time but not everyday I love solo queuing its how I got good on my own.

I think one of the problems with Apex 2 is that it is extremely hard for someone who just plays it casually to enjoy the game usually load in and get wiped right away because people have been playing it for so long and it's just in a competitive State now it's really no room for casuals so the only people that are left are left playing are the ones with thousands of hours.....

Apex actively feels like a game that is trying to test how long it can dog on you before you quit every session I play it. Had a situation just last night where one team in ranked managed to stomp most of the lobby, kill my squad so we got fourth , and then somehow in the very next game that team was there again. My team somehow by coincidence landed with them behind for them to just stomp my squad. I said fuck it and that point and turned on the finals.

The ffVII event is one of the freshest events I’ve seen on the game in awhile, however the battle royal mode is the same as always and certain weapons being made obsolete don’t help. Not to mention the other game modes which have maps that are uninteresting and unintuitive. They simply aren’t designed for a multi team game mode they fit better as arena maps as that is what most of them were designed for. It frustrates me to no end that arena doesn’t make the cut sad😢

There need to be more videos like this if things are ever going to change in the game. If you made a video with every grievance apex players have and really flush out the topic, the series would do well. And a tier list of things to change would also be entertaining

Day 1 player here and totally agree. Also you are the only person who said that ranked has always been weird. Totally agree. As a solo Queue player all i have noticed is the game moving further and further away from me. For the life of me I can't understand why they don't add a Solo Mode for solo players. Let people play who they want how they want, and its not like people in pubs play properly as a team anyway. At this point in Season 19 randoms don't ping or even care if they have team mate, simply rush and die. No one plays as a team, even for 5 seconds so the idea that some legends wouldn't work for solo is pointless. Either a solo mode or simple finding a way to separate 3 stacks against solo queuers would make a huge difference. At the end of the day it comes across as the devs of the game don't actually play the game themselves to know what's going on or just don't care as long as people are buying overpriced skins.

Man I love this game too, but I'm a low-skill player, I'm ok with this because I genuinely love the game and playing with friends. But lately it has become increasingly difficult to enjoy ANY part of the game. I agree that hidden MMR is terrible. Me and my friends get killed quickly and frequently by people we should not even be playing with, it completely ruins the game. Just let me play against other people in my skill bracket so I can actually have fun and grow/learn at my own pace. At this point, we've stopped playing ranked, and since there is really no point to play right now and improve, I have stopped watching streamers and content on Apex, there is just nothing to learn right now because there is no room to improve as a low skill player. I hope this is fixed before my friends completely give up on the game.

Apex is very addicting my issue is the balance of the game, i always feel like as soon as i get better at the game, mechanics change. When you finally learn a legend the meta switches so now you have to re learn someone new to keep up. I think as well the pros have greatly destroyed the game, every-time they complain the game changes. Another thing is the audio, constant drop out. Simple things

Everytime pros complain the game gets balanced, how long did catalyst stay as strong as she is? How obnoxious was it having to play through bang smokes and catalyst walls, games need to be balanced and reworked for it not go stale. Asking for the game to stay the same for the purpose of “oh well I learned it, why does it have to change” is really selfish. And that’s coming from someone who came from OW1 when this game came out and I had to adjust to new patch every couple of months of balancing the game something this game is lacking.

I love the game but it’s becoming repetitive now we’ve been playing for so long unfortunately. The movement in apex is great and it’s the main reason we all love the game but in all honesty it’s not really accessible , most of it came from unintended glitches and not by design. People coming to the game to test out the movement need to sink so so many hours in.

False, they already nerfed movement on 3 separate occasions to make the game casual friendly and are currently dealing with damage control so no, people don’t play apex for the time to kill, they play for movement.

6000 hours in the game, 3 times master player. i got demoted in silver 1, 3 times. every time i go back to 999/1000 points, meaning i only lose 1 point, i'm doing extremely well but i am never lucky with good lobbies or teammates. lobbies are all top bracket of master/pred 3 stacks, while i am stuck with people who are plat at best only because they cannot find other master solo Qers like me. none of my teammates knows the basic rotations or are choosing to ignore it because they want to fight (my guess is they are running away from pubs) or they try their best but unfortunately die to their first 3 stacks which are the majority of the lobby. it's simply unfair on all ends. if you're a high Elo players who solo Qs you're stuck with less than average teammates in a top 1% lobby, and if you're below average you're put in lobbies you do not belong in. overall, this system is only ever good to 3 stacks of masters/preds, everyone else is getting pooped on.

I stopped playing Apex a looooong time ago (because I'm bad), but still like to watch people play every now and then, but it seems like with every season, it *looks* more and more unenjoyable to play with all the nonsense characters being added (which was bound to happen). I think what would make me actually care about it is if it had more community support in the form of collabs. Look at fortnite, it literally had a high player peak after so many years a few months ago, and the crazy collabs is what makes people play. I think there was a collab announced for Apex recently, but I'm not sure And lastly, I'm a bad player and I never cared about ranked, so I don't know how bad the lobbies can be personally, but from watching Minato Aqua do her solo master run where every single lobby from bronze was a predator lobby, I can't imagine why anyone would ever want to touch the game if they're remotely good. Sorry for the long comment, basically, I just want Titanfall 3 lol

they have had a formula on how they put content out which worked well in the early seasons. Its just not going to fly if they dont up the content in later seasons. they seem to be trying with the last 2 events. which are great but anyone like you said who is above avg at the game is pretty burnt out at this point with matchmaking. As much as we used to complain about bad matchmaking they went and made it far worse end of season 17 and left us with it for the entirety of season 18. and now its on and off bad matchmaking and anyone who grinded season 18 is just tired of signing on just to see if lobbies are decent or bad for the day. everything you said in this video is fact. were all bored

It’s obvi from the characters they continue to put out that they are not interested in being innovative or encouraging the player base to become smarter players. Characters that deal huge amounts of free damage, give free health or things to hide behind only dumb down players. My hope is that they eventually release a character that rewards skill, so if you deal x amount of damage to a teammate and knock 1 or 2 then you should be getting a speed boost or regen of your shields, not the other way around
