Those motor bearings are extremely shot. They aren’t supposed to sound that high pitched. I’m glad you only got this thing for a dollar. Anything more than that with shot motor bearings would’ve been a scam.

I wish they would go back to how they may vacuums like that back in the day because they lasted a long time the stuff that they make now it's basically throw away and some of the brands I hate to say this but some of the brands you have issues with as soon as you get it out of the box and you're paying the high price for the name but the quality has gone out the window many many years ago so I wish I can get my hands on those old vacuums that were more durable because I actually like those because you can take the holes and plug it up on the bottom side when you want to use the holes a lot of vacuums now you can't shut off the suction from the the holes when you're doing the floor so I actually like that the older style

I wish they would bring em back too cause they just don’t make em like this anymore we had very great vacuums back then I had this same exact vacuum Except it didn’t have the hose and the bottom didn’t have height Adjustments
