Surely you do realize that the valve gear is messed up on that model right?

No I didn't notice otherwise I would have either pointed it out or fixed it

@@ThunderbirdX well I hope your model is fixed now, no one should have to pay 200+ for a defective model.

It is fixed. I think the nut was too lose and that enabled the rod to spin around

Yes, the coaches were teak, but now in British Rail livery.

Mallard's World Steam Speed Record of 126mph will never be beaten. I can help you out with the coaches. They are the steel Blood & Custard versions of the normal LNER and Thompson Teak Coaches. To me Blood & Custard livery suits Mk. 1 coaches better. Blood & Custard LNER coaches, I'm not too keen on. If I'm right in thinking so, BR must have created their own version of the LNER and Thompson Teak coaches, with steel bodies and painted them Blood & Custard. I'm only guessing here, because I know a lot more about the steam engines we all love. Another variant on the LNER and Thompson Teak coaches is the BR Maroon version. Visit Tony North Eastern, he knows more about the BR Maroon and Blood & Custard LNER coaches than I ever will. He has them on his model railway.

The Gresley 1920s and 1930s teak coaches were painted blood and custard then maroon by BR after nationalisation, and at least one Buffet Car survived to be painted blue and grey. Thompson in LNER days built some coaches after WW2 which were steel panelled and originally painted as simulated teak before standard BR colours like the Gresleys.
