I agree with you about your definition of protective styles with locs, with the exception of wigs. But as I always say, to each their own

Yeah I'm not a fan of wigs but when applied properly they do give your hair a break and protection from the elements. Thanks for commenting queen!

Peace Keisha , I think hair that is loc'd is protected . And hair that isn't loc'd isn't . Such as new growth . It's not until the hair coils and mats in bundles or clumps that the hair literally and figuratively " stick together ." 😊 ¿ Agreed .

We will always have new growth as long as our hair is growing so if we are in a perpetual state of having unprotected hair, it’s not a protective style to ME. I get your POV however. Thanks for commenting 💕
