First 18 years of my life my mother who is Mormon made me go to church and do boyscouts. I absolutely hated it as a kid. And while im not religious rn or practicing any beliefs. But I am so thankful for what I was taught and the people I met. That went way farther and did more for me than 12 years of school as a kid tbh. Appreciate the message and transparency Cam! Ive been watching since the start of the STi when you bought it. I love Subarus as well. But you made me stay bc of your brand and the message. Im not the most mechanically inclined. But you help me be confident. I bought a Manual 2023 Supra this year and seeing you get one on the channrl after was so cool! It was a sign I can build along like I did with my WRX before my Supra! Crazy how things work

Love this!! Being surrounded by believers at a young age is a true blessing that you and I both got to experience. It truly does shape you to be a selfless human which leads to a life thats much more beautiful and present. Being forced to go to church at a young age is a weird thing. To me it was always about "following the rules" and being "perfect" and it was the least motivating thing ever. So I totally understand. This is specifically the exact reason why I had to throw in the Relationship > Religion at the end for any others feeling like this. Because it strongly speaks in the bible when you get into this about how you are perfectly imperfect and God just wants to show you his plans and let you live them out to make the world a better place and bring more of his people to heaven with us. The rules are just for us to have an easier time on earth and make it easier to grow closer to him. You said you are not religious or practicing but I hope you find community with faith wherever you are at and thrive in life and feel God work through you! Have a blessed week 🙌🏻 (p.s. DM me pics of your Supra on insta i wanna see)

Cam I never really comment on videos but honestly, I've been going through a lot mentally. I work at a church as a worship director & youth director and just recently have been battling with my mind and what I've been doing at the church and my own faith. After seeing you obediently listening to God calling you to share what God's been doing for you it really touched me and reminded me that God is working around us. I've gotten caught up in the "work" aspect of church and my faith but I haven't tended to the relationship like what you were saying. Thank you for the encouragement and reminder, keep doing what you're doing!
@CameronAlford

Acknowledging it and conversing about it is the first step to overcoming it. You're doing great and I'm sure so many look up to you and you make a significant impact to those around you. Theres 2 books I want to recommend with context as to why. IF you havent already read them. (This applies for anyone else reading too who might need it.) 1) Find Your Why (amzn.to/3Ngn3VQ) - Personally I have done audio and hard copy. This is a practical guide to find what sets your on fire in a unique way that is soooo jarring. In the most positive way ever. It brings words to that feeling of being on fire for things and helps you find clarity in areas you had no idea was possible. Part of the book makes you talk over with someone to seek out patterns & themes in your stories. If you need someone to go over them with and dont have anyone in mind. Email me cameronalford@carmaspeed.com and I will do it with you and help you to the best of my ability over a google meet call. 2) 7 Primal Questions (amzn.to/3TcsiK6) - I've listened to the audible version. This was INSANE for me.. BUT FIRST you MUST take the assessment (www.primalquestion.com/assessment-page) then read this book. It makes you feel so understood and is what I would say a compass for your life as a male driven for wanting the most for your life. Once you understand the question that is always ringing in your head since you were a child it makes everything make sense. Life gets more clear and its easier to identify green, grey and red flags in life. Hope this might help in any way!! Dont hesitate to reach out to my email to talk further if needed, even if its a year from now!

Hey Cameron, Structural Engineer here, look into maybe getting structural steel columns rather than wood, some nice 4x4 HSS columns should do the job. Any local Structural Engineer should be able to do this. That, along with some impact covers should prevent anything like this happening again. Glad to see everyone is okay!

One of the coolest surprises ever hearing that you’re a fellow believer! I’ve been working in ministry for the past 5 years as a worship director/pastor. I’ve watched your channel for the last 3 or so years so this was really awesome to hear that one of my favorite KZbinrs is also a Christian! I’m just church boy who’s got some cheap fast cars haha! You should shoutout your church that you attend or maybe if you’ve got a network of similar churches in your area, shout them all out. There may be people who watch that live in your area who are just looking for a loving and welcoming place. Be blessed my friend!

Cameron, sorry to hear but it seems like it’s fixable. The reason that the post / column snapped was either the post anchors failed or the post itself had dry rot. Would suggest you rebuild with a new steel column with appropriate concrete foundation and anchors. Glad no one was hurt! Take care and all the best.

This video has added to the number of hints for me to get closer to god, I’ve never been a posed but I have a hard time keeping up with prayer
@CameronAlford
@CameronAlford 5 ай бұрын
Totally feel that.. It's honestly like anything in life at the end of the day. Its a new habit, its foreign to do ANYTHING regularly that you don't just naturally do. For me it starts with taking the things in life that support that type of behavior and turning them up. An example that I always go to when I am struggling with keeping up with things like prayer is instead of listening to my audio book or regular music.. I will start listening to worship music non-stop until I feel like God is in my sub conscious mind again where I want him to be and have praise on reapeat without even thinking. Then when things go south or I catch my mind drifting it will out of habit make its way back to praising God. This leads to prayer happening regularly and so on. I've recently turned it up a notch and started serving at church this year, and then about a month ago doing life group.. now its getting EXTREMELY easy to do things like prayer often and rely on God in every way. I wasnt always this way, I recently this year had enough of the ups and downs and gave it all to God and It's gotten me to a much better place in every way. So keep going, you're doing great!! Hit me up anytime if you need me on insta/email/comments here etc. I will pray for you tonight! 🙌🏻

The most successful people always find a way to take adversity/trials and make them an opportunity for growth and wisdom. Mistakes and challenges will always be part of life, what you choose to accept it as will determine your level of accomplishment. If you can take a negative and make it positive, you’ll always be an asset or valued because not many people can do that.

What an unfortunate incident, but I love that you included how God came through for you in every way. Keep it up!

Cameron, absolutely amazing video. I think that you including this segment about your Faith is very real and very genuine. A lot of these other KZbinrs don’t include/don’t care to include things like this. What a way to spread Gods word using the platform and community that you have built. Have a blessed rest of you month and an amazing Christmas!

Cam - I loved this so much. Few thoughts as a fellow disciple of Jesus Christ… 1. God is a maker of lemonade. Doesn’t matter the lemons we get, He always can and will turn them into lemonade. 2. When God comes, He comes with arms full. You witnessed His abundance coming with arms full for all aspects of your life, which was awesome to witness. 3. There are no accidents, as God always had a purpose. I agree about the carport breaking like this was a blessing in disguise. This happening with a cookout taking place would have been a true disaster. Built back better and stronger than before. Appreciate your example and testimony. Keep crushing it. Heaven + all of us here are rooting for you and your team! 💪🙏
