This was a great video showing how mixed reality for Espire 2 worked. Besides letting you move about I liked how it added switches to your walls, or used your windows as areas to shoot through, etc... This will hopefully only get better. You are hilarious. I think I laughed so much because I would do much of the same. Hurting your hand trying to reach through closed windows and props on your death scenes. When I play alone, yep there are dramatics. Finally, loved that your dog was involved.

I've had this game for a little bit and I bought it specifically for the mixed reality and agree with your review. Honestly the game feels like its one giant training demo really. The mixed reality is super cool but there is an issue that exists today where the game will put your starting point outside of play area so you have to go in and recreate your boundries. The game is collecting dust until they can fix some of these issues.

This will be a total game changer when you can scan in your whole house and play a haunting or invasion type game while moving about the whole home. I can even see warehouses or specific locations set up for this type of gameplay. My family does a lot with buying and selling of real estate so I can imagine snapping up a run-down house, scanning it in and playing this type of game (or again - a haunting) in a new location while renovations are going on! I also wonder about creating virtual locations outdoors - where you could build your own walls, hallways, windows, doors, etc. out in your yard without the need of actually having a physical building around you (just be careful not to lean against any of the virtual environments - god knows I have tried to lean on a table in VR!). You will look like an absolute nutter out in your yard, and I can see neighbors filming you as you work your way through a virtual Metal Gear Solid level, but it still would be amazing!

Most MR are not taking advantage of whole house and you still are fairly stationary in one room and it just brings virtual life into your real life surroundings

Very entertaining video! Do you find overall that enemies are pretty dumb? It seems like an overall theme in a lot of VR games/ the enemy intelligence is worse than that of a stormtrooper. 😂 how I wish the game had the surprise mutha… like in there!

I could only set up about 1.5 rooms per level. As of now, the boundary size is fairly limited. Hopefully Meta will update this!

I don’t mind mixed reality as I played the game you could play for free that came with the quest three but I definitely like the games like Resident Evil 4 a lot more something about feeling like you are where the game takes place is magical. Specially, with a good pair of headphones in there’s parts of resident evil where I feel like I’m standing on top of the mountain and then I walk into a building and it gets really quiet. It’s crazy but I will give this reality game a chance and buy it and play it tomorrow I downloaded Angry Birds for my son, he’s only nine and I know you’re not supposed to use it until you’re 13 but if he just uses it for 10 minutes here in 10 minutes I’m hoping it’s OK

Yeah that's honestly a good point. Playing games in the real world and physical space is pretty cool, but there is something special about being in a complete fantasy world. That's why I don't Mixed reality will ever replace virtual reality. It's just different.
