@Hallucinogenichusky hell yes he would make them a write off, you would have to be dumb to not save money on taxes that way. All he has to do is say that he was buying the items to make this video and thus it's a work expense and saves him thousands of dollars so he can make more content. The fact that he benefits is irrelevant seeing as how small businesses have done this since write offs have been a thing.

Truly remarkable craftsmanship, which we sadly don't see enough of today. I feel a sense of accomplishment every time I put up new shelves, house fittings, put my desk together, or wired my apartments ethernet, not the same thing, but I wish I was taught more of these kinds of skills at a younger age, I'm so glad apex craftsman still exist. Well that was a helluva ride. I went from a job working in the lumber section at Home Depot to becoming an HVAC technician/plumbing projects technician, buying my first car, and moving out on my own in the time it took for this renovation to be completed. J: I think I'm most impressed with your tenacity. I don't mean to diminish your talent or artistry ... they are top notch ,,, seriously. But as one who has done DIY projects, it takes tenacity to follow through any complex project to the end. And that is what is most impressive with what you've done here. Great choice on roofing, nothing better looking than wood. I INSTALLED A 3/4 5/4 hand split roof on my house aqnd it stops traffic. I used 10d nails over a lath sheathing system and it is 40 yrs old now and still looks new. NEEDS SUN TO PREVENT MOLD.

I used Arborcoat on my exterior wood(lumber yard "kiln dried" fir). it's been almost 5 years and still good... I stripped all the mill glaze and gave it 2 coats. Would I recomend it to a customer? Probably not

I have always loved Japanese buildings and in my opinion, they make some of the best hand tools in the world. Their artists, woodworking and craftsmanship is a favorite of mine. I only wish I knew the language. The renovation of your home is just gorgeous. The joinery used on the front beams is perfect and not that easy for the average woodworker like myself. Though I am slowly learning my way through a book about joinery and some I have never seen before. I also have learned a lot from your channel. Thank you for that.

That is a great transformation. The skill needed is rare to find for sure. I live in one of the most expensive zip codes in the country in the smallest house ever. We don't have super high end skills out here since the cost of living is so high though it cost more than anywhere else to build, go figure. We did a full gut and then kitted it out, had to do more and more myself to get it to look right. Started out with a $49 dollar hitachi skill saw and now have a garage of great tools that I actually know how to use thanks to great people like you being on KZbin. Keep it up man as I am looking for more projects to learn how to build.
