Funny....we just bought a remodeled Turn-key home in Lynnhaven & listed our cute little home near Spanish Springs. This will make our transition to retirement so much easier. 2 years but it was REALLY hard leaving today especially with the snowstorm coming to PA. Our hearts are at TV. Congrats to you!!

It will be an adjustment. Eastport will be nice once it’s completed. I like you will be able walk around the lake. Sumter you can’t do that. I’m sure you will enjoy making your home the way you want it. Have fun exploring. I haven’t found a good coffee spot. Let us know if you do. Edna’s and the Fenney area are my favorites. Hi Chief - kudos on the quick sale! (not sure if you are a Chief, Senior Chief, or Master Chief so I will just call you Chief). I am a just retired, DOD/IC civilian and coming your way next summer. I also subscribe to Robyn's channel and I think she is terrific! My only problem with your listing (and I posted this to her channel) was the price was too soft. When you have a home like yours that you have personally updated/renovated, etc, plus the military discipline and organization of your personal belongings, etc, ....that makes this is a very unique listing. Most comparable listings will not have this. I believe you could have priced it at least $20K higher, had a bidding war and it would have still sold in couple of days, probably to retired DOD military/civilians. Regardless, Kudos and best of the luck in Eastport in the new home! Robyn - please don't get annoyed with me, but I had to add this comment!

No worries all good, Robyn suggested more at first, and yes it’s a great deal for the buyers but I didn’t intend to buy this one as an investment so I’m happy with the result, and it feels good to let it go to a nice couple at a great price. I’ve lived a blessed life so I’m happy to spread some good karma. And yup I’m a Chief so you got it right my man! Truth! This is unprecedented times for me. I have never seen a housing market like this in recent memory, it’s almost like we’re in a frozen state the last few years between the outrageous Home prices and inventory shrinkage but what gets me the most because my real estate taxes are higher! I fully expected his house would sell before it was even went live on the mls😂

I'm curious if you paid a 3% commission to the buyer's agent? It seems as though the recent NAR class action settlement has not really changed anything regarding commissions.

Nothing really has changed from my perspective, negotiation should always be on the table. I like using a realtor like Robyn, there’s just too much at stake for both parties it’s good to have an expert coordinating everything, reviewing critical paperwork, legal stuff, all that stuff. I won’t discuss Robyn’s commission but she’s very fair and knows what she’s doing so I’m happy with her service and I highly recommend her.
