Listen to the podcast episode where I interviewed the owner of the company who treated my house for termites, where he shares what to look for to know if your home is under attack by termites and what you can do about it! ~~> www.buzzsprout.com/1103261/8258407

Excellent content! It creates a barrier in the ground that kills the termites when they crawl through it. I had it done to my house and it killed everything. Just keep the moisture to a minimum, those creatures require water. To help control them, ensure you spray your lawn periodically.

Here in Florida, the homeowner required by the lender to have a termite bond in place before the mortgage completed. The home has to be inspected annually by the pest control company to confirm in writing that no live termites were present. Will you need to treat around your shed/office since it's wood?

I had that same treatment. It was great it killed off everything. Spiders stayed away. Crickets too.

Spider's been getting a good feed in your garden judging by the size of it. We did the same termite protection several years ago and get it inspected every year too.

You're welcome!! It was an enlightening experience. The crazy thing is that I had an inkling years before that there were termites, but I was SO scared to dig deeper and so I was like an ostrich that put my head down in the sand and chose to ignore it, thinking it would just "go away." Stupid mistake. So it was a blessing in disguise that our rental property had some termite damage, which prompted me to resolve it and then to get an inspection on my main house, too. Soooo glad I stopped being afraid to address the problem!!

OMG I recall when I was renting and the next thing I knew we had termites! Boy was I happy we were already in a contract to purchase my home. The landlord tried to say I caused the termites! My realtor was there and she started quoting the owner all kinds of information. Boy was I happy she was there! So the first thing I did in my home was a termite inspection.

Just curious, how does treating the perimeter of ur house help kill the termites that r already n side? Or did they do a treatment on the n side, too?

I didn't know that the termite guys still drill through the house. We have someone come inside the house once a year to make sure there are none inside, and they have 12 traps that they bait to catch the termites outside around the whole perimeter of the home.

I used to work at Public Storage many years ago and one day we had bugs in the office that were flying around everywhere. Then they started to shed their wings. I called my District Manager and he didn't believe me. His dumbass called my coworker right after we got off the phone and asked if I was "being dramatic." She was sitting right next to me and said "no it's a swarm!" Turns out it was flying termites. They used a very similar treatment to this where they drilled at various points on the perimeter of the building. The termites were gone in about 2 days.
