Durian is sooooo good, especially when you make a smoothie out of it, the creaminess and sweetness from it is so different. But hey you either love it or hate it. Hopefully you get to try some deserts made of durian, it's probably not as strong in flavour and smell so maybe it would be easier to tolerate xD Edit: I just had a tiny cutting of lacunosa, I'm super excited and can't wait for it to grow as lush as yours!!!

Good heavens . I had no idea there were so many varieties of Lacanosa. Mine just says Hoya Lacanosa. Leaves are just green no splash. It is Beautiful. I did a plant trady with Kellies Hoyas and bless her heart she was going to send me 5 cuttings and sent 12. So dang excited. I am in the process of getting them all rooted and into soil. So I am far from a hoya head but I think I have about 25 different ones now. I love how they are impressive even when small and can be tucked in just about anywhere.

I got a small (very small) cutting of a Lacunosa snow caps. It put out a few new leaves, then everything turned yellow. :( Too much water? It’s in a 2” plastic pot so, given how small it is, I was watering it once every 6-7 days. Too much light? It’s next to an AeroGarden with a grow light. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

If you trim a Hoya and cut off the puduncles will they grow more so they can flower? I trimmed my grandmothers plant and it doesn’t flower any more. My plant is at least 50 yrs old. Love your collection
@KnotDude2 жыл бұрын
Hoya will grow more peduncles but I would highly recommend not trimming the long leafless vines or peduncles off. Vines tend to grow leaves once they feel supported and lots of times peduncles form on these vines or toward the end of them.

Durian is indeed polarising🤣 I think it is slightly unfair for durian because it has a horrible shelf life. It should be best consumed within 24 hours. After that the smell will absolutely unbearable due to fermentation. I love it but I will avoid transporting it in my vehicle. The after smell after day 2 is enough to make me vomit. That said durian is the king of fruits without a doubt🤣🤣🤣 Surprisingly, there is a dearth of varieties of lacunosa in Malaysia. I especially like the Durian Perangin one.
