Nice work for his first time, he took his time, doing the sectioning, rather than just putting your hair in a ponytail and sawing through it leaving an uneven mess. Seems that he took off a lot of hair. His 3 inches were more like 6 inches. I have been cutting hair for friends, family members and acquaintances for years. I hold up my hand and ask them how many fingers worth do they want off. If they want more off, I ask them to hold the hair where they want it cut while I take the first snip. Being your hair is long, I suggest that you stand up so he can trim your hair easier. Important thing is that you are happy with the results.

We have the same hair type, fine and straight. Ask your hubby to give you a bob, it will make your hair more voluminous! My husband chopped my hair off just the morning after our wedding in January, from waist length to chin length (he’s been waiting for ages to cut my hair short lol). My hair becomes healthier, no split ends, no hair loss, less weighed down! I’d definitely recommend a chin length bob for you. You’ll look really cute with short hair!
