I understand this call exactly. We had two miscarriages within 4 months and then got pregnant again 13 months after our first miscarriage. Seeing that positive test is terrifying. The idea of sharing and the fear to be excited is real. Being pregnant after loss is so scary. She should tell him, but I understand her fear. I'll never forget when my husband was talking to our Pastor and he congratulated my husband and my husband said, "Thanks but I dont want to celebrate until we hear a heartbeat." That broke my heart but I get it. Praying this is her Rainbow Baby.

How does no one understand she's already miscarried twice and doesn't want him to associate Christmas with the loss of their 3rd baby every single year? She just learned about it and still has to process how soon to tell him also mixed with the fear that she might not hold on to it. After 3 months chances improve very much. Most miscarriages happen in the first 3 months.

Imagine she probably has seen the pregnancy reveal videos on social media and wants to have a romantic magic idealized moment for both of them, especially after so much heartache with miscarriages. That's sweet, and not a character flaw. In the meanwhile she's trying to take responsibility on the debt and get cracking on it. She's processing a lot and seems to have overlooked the fact that by calling she just told a bunch of strangers before her husband. Clearly her heart means well and she's got a lot on her plate.

Umm...they didn't actually give her financial advice. They just listened to her explanations, and then concluded the call with no real advice. I get why she isn't telling her husband yet. They've had two miscarriages, which I know from experience are gut-wrenching, and she wants to make sure the baby coming along okay before she tells him this time. If she tells him now and then she has another miscarriage, he'll be crushed. She is hoping to save him some heartache in case she miscarries again. I don't blame her, I'd do the same thing.

Where did they find the time, given their work schedules? What causes her to be so calm and methodical, in the face of crisis? Who is going to raise this child? How did the father (in law) end up investing 20% paying 50% of the debt load? What about the dismissed workers? Will they form a competing company? Who is going to raise the child?
