i hated rhys in the first book too… just saw you posted the second book, excited to later see how you feel about him now 😂

It's also my first time reading the series, so i'm here with you. I agree on Rhysand. It'll be interested to see what SJM will do to redeem him (that is assuming he will be redeeemed). I disagree with her sisters being terrible. Her parents are. They're neglectful, her mother made her swear that oath which is a pretty crappy move and her father didn't do anything. Elaine is kinda useless at this point, but not terrible either. I don't really have opinions on her. The person that i think deserves more credit. We are being told that she didn't do anything, but i think that is just Feyre's interpretation. She went out and got food and all that more practical and clearly visible stuff. But i feel like Nesta did a lot of other, more subtle things. I feel like she tried her best to keep the family together. She's the one who went after Feyre and she only couldn't because of magic. But Feyre doesn't see all of that and so she thinks that Nesta did nothing and really resents her for it. In the conversation that they had when Feyre returns to the human world, my opinion of her became a lot more positive, but you have to read between the lines to get there

No arguments that her parents are terrible, I think that is 100% true. I'm interested to see how Elaine and Nesta both grow and change throughout the series, I like Elain a lot but I may not like Nesta to much but she is definitely and interesting character.

Subscribing because I’ve read the entire series and Robby has voiced alot of my issues with this book. I feel vindicated. PS: I LOVE how you guys can have opposite experiences with a book but understand each other’s feelings & opinions.

Commenting here to engage your content, this is another book that is not my vibe and I don't see myself reading it now (but unlike The Fourth Wing, this book and its universe seem to be better constructed and perhaps I will be caught off guard if I read it one day.)

I also finished reading the first book a few days ago and this popped up in my recommended! My experience was that I started it as an audiobook since it was free on audible, and I didn’t really like it very much so I would just listen to it on drives whenever I had nothing else to listen to. But as soon as it got to the point where Feyre caught the Suriel, I was hooked!! I’ve already started the second book so I won’t give my thoughts on Rhysand yet 🤫 but I’m definitely subscribing, you are such a cute couple!!! I need to find myself a book boyfriend 🥲
