It’s funny you say Black Iris has similarities to 1899 and Rehab. I’m not a fan of layering at all, but one time I had Initio Rehab on one hand and Black Iris on the other. As I was doing some chore just testing the fragrances, I just kept catching whiffs of magic in the air. Bought both, do wear them individually, but when I’m just fishing for compliments, I’ll combine them.

It smells like cherry coke . The dry down is a sweet almond Milk like smell...very smooth and gourmand. I would say its a 8/10.

It’s not a a good projector nowadays but thats not the purpose of the fragrance so for me the performance is good considering the purpose of the fragrance. And the scent is amazing, so so unique and different a delicious liccorish cherry; you may think it’s a bit feminine at first sniff but wearing it more you will notice it is a very masculine, mouthwatering and seductive cherry.

Do not blind buy Layton. It’s not that great or unique. BDC EDP is better as is platinum egoist. YSL is also better but not long lasting. Most important for young men is to get in the gym and keep your skincare routine on point. You don’t need designer fragrance to attract women but you do need to take care of yourself.

I get what this guy is doing, but Layton is really good. Now I don’t personally wear it, found it way too cloying and strong. Got compliments, but just felt self conscious when I could constantly smell myself. Switched over to the exclusif version and that is light years better. Just do note that it’s a way more mature version compared to the original.
