Seeing what was going on with your in laws trying to take over your home and your husband is not doing anything, it is time to divorce him and cut ties with them and leave.

There's a twist in the wife paying for the deplex being built. Making sure the layout was standard but good. Not letting MIL or SIL have odd things added by keeping control of the build. In the finished, the duplex it could be rental apartments. Even NOT allowing them move one item in. They couldn't demand to keep living there. All went well to keep all of her inheritance while making something to provide future income.

I would never have lived with my in laws and hopefully I will never have to live with my kids. No Thank you. We always stayed at a hotel when we went to visit my in-Laws.

I paused early again because if she is supposedly paying for all living costs, she can stand up and tell the inlaws she isnt spending any of her hard earned money to buy extra groceries for them. Then call them leeches,moochers,beggars. Then tell them she'll post it on social media and tell all their friends. As well as her husband's that they all live off of her.

Instead of bending to their reasonable demands fir you to cook dinner fir them instead of visiting your father your shoukd have either ignored them and gone to the hospital to see your father OR said that if they expected you to cook dinner they would need to either bring all the ingredients or pay for the food you cooked for them.

Prostrate, rub her head on the floor… who does that? People of which civilisation, which culture do that? As all the monetary figures were in dollars, can we assume that the setting of this story is the USA? But prostrating and rubbing the head in the floor is definitely not in American culture.

This is a good story but instead of agreeing with the inlaws since your husband and in-laws didn’t attend the funeral l would have told them no duplex steven and l are divorcing,now get out,he was useless to you anyway his only interest is the inheritance and his annoying family your better off by yourself. I think that would be a step too far for them. They've already compromised by having English-speaking narrators (either human or AI!), and by using Anglicised names.
