The problem with Hamfests is that you go there looking to buy one thing and always end up with another. In this case I went looking for an amp. I ended up with a fancy new cage for my 705.

What’s the benefit of the TNC connection over a SO-239?

It has a weather seal like an N Type connector but it is about the size of a BNC connector. All the sealing and half the size.
