Let me be the first to say this is a beautiful saber, old republic vibes. But truth be told though I enjoy your personality more than any hilt you do a video on 👍

Bro how did I miss this? That cyan blade really sends it. Def one of the hilts that got away for me.

Not sure bro but it’s like over a year old. Super rad hilt to play with.

That is GORGEOUS!!! So deliciously "modern OT" like it's from the lived in world of cobbled parts, but the aesthetician is so detailed. Just... incredible.

i can’t tell, did you go over this with aluminum black or just some black paint here and there to create that weathered look? this is one of my favorite weathering jobs and i really want to know how you went about doing it
@NerfherderCustoms Жыл бұрын
I use AB on it as well as some oil acrylics. Same process as my weathering tutorial on this channel.
@vprch Жыл бұрын
@@NerfherderCustomswould you recommend using AB on an already installed saber? I have this hilt installed with cfx and since the chassis isn’t easily removable at this point, I’m wondering if it would be okay to try my best to mask the electronics off with some tape and then use AB.
@NerfherderCustoms Жыл бұрын
@@vprch I always say not to. Some people will say it’s okay but it’s a chemical bath. You can somewhat do AB with a cue tip in small areas but you really run a risk with electronics in. ESPECIALLY a battery. That’s very dangerous. Basically I turn down any weathering commission on an installed hilt. It’s always most idea to have weathering done before the install.
@vprch Жыл бұрын
@@NerfherderCustoms hmm, then im thinking i could just go over it with some sand paper and black acrylic to hopefully achieve a similar effect, to me this sounds like a much safer approach.

How do you make your blade plugs? Could you do a tutorial on it?
@NerfherderCustoms2 жыл бұрын
In did a tutorial on blade plugs a long time.
@4str0m3ch2 жыл бұрын
@@NerfherderCustoms Yeah, it's more for the found parts etc. Maybe it's because we use science units rather than freedom units, but I struggle to find bits that work for the emitter.
@NerfherderCustoms2 жыл бұрын
@@4str0m3ch Oh well I said what I use for mine in there. I really don't stray too far from my blade plugs I make. Some times I will reuse some things that just happen to fit but I almost always put the razors in that also.

Just got mine too how do I make or install the crystal ? Can I expand the parts we’re crystal sit? Any help would be great
@NerfherderCustoms2 жыл бұрын
There are two holders inside the chamber piece that have set screws. You loosen those and you can set your length to your crystal. Set it and tightened the screws. Take a part your hilt and look at it.
