You're correct, he's been sorta talking about it for a while, and along with talking about the upcoming band, he's mentioned several times that we shouldn't expect the wild stuff he normally does with the covers. His most recent video he was very clear about it. Personally I love this track, I get a lot of 90s/00s vibes. Deftones, Chevelle, a bit of grunge in there too. I like it, looking forward to what they do next.

Oh dang, I definitely missed him talking about it. I'll have to go back and watch that video haha. Thanks for the tip!

I loved it! Moody and intense with great dynamics, smooth vocals with an edge, technically clean and a gutsy bass. The video production was relatively simple, but effective and showcased the music and the guys playing. I particularly liked the overhead flash to the base drum to emphasize the music. I'm looking forward to more!

Great breakdown of the track! Awesome review! Really loving this first song from El Estepario's new band. The two guys in the band are killing it too!

Thanks! I’m honestly looking forward to what they put out next. They really seem like they have strong chemistry. It’s not just El Estepario’s band yah know?

Well , he was Saratogas Drummer for Years, just left that band like a year ago.

1st comment I came across stating he has history in a band. It's interesting how here in the US the Grove Father is only that. El Estepario is much more than this. Chris and Peter are exceptional too. This is going to be history in the making for the evolution of content creation. The Cost are trailblazers.

Anyone that was just expecting music rather than a speed demon had a big anticipation of when was the vocals coming in and how were they going to sound. Once the groove had been established it was just the vocals and then they came. For me I wasn't at first too sure, yet as a track it all merged great. I have listened to it a few times now after watching it live. For a 3 piece its full. Rhythm is nice and punchy.

Yeah I definitely agree. I love scream vocals, but feel like they can be a bit overdone nowadays. I really like the clean consistency throughout the song. Just solid all around

It’s very smart to release a powerful first single rather than a bombastic one. On Twitch he live streamed live recording a song (not this one ofc) in Novo studios. That song is also 🔥 Peter’s vocals are insanely good - you can almost hear his whispery vocal style he does on his jazz band’s songs (Valmuz). Chris is also in Valmuz and crazy talented.

The break is a alternating measures of 7 and 4 count - from 7/4 to 4/4. You could also chart it longer measures of 11/4 too (which standardly count as sub measure counts of 4, then 3, then 4).

I’ll do the research for you. They all live in the same villa as Novo Studies who produces the sound. The two guys are jazz musicians from the band Valmuz. It’s all in his videos. Varus drums that he uses is also his fellow Valencian. He has put together people his is an equal part in. Very smart group of guys.

¿Vivían o viven juntos los tres en la casa donde está el estudio? Estamos viendo el nacimiento de un grupazo. Espero que tengan mucha suerte.

I'm hearing 11/4 for the breakdown., divided into 6/1/4 groups for the first part. but then comes back into the chorus in a trickier way. still figuring that out haha

The nonsense he does on his channel has no place in a real song anyway.
