I run this build for nightmare it's really nice. Until recently I was using melee resolve gain. I ran some tests. I actually got less resolve compared to not having melee gain on my sword. Could you run some tests and either confirm or deny?.

Really nice build! Personally I love running a stagger build on Ronin, he has the extra 15% stagger in tech tree. Then I run 3xmelee stagger damage stats (literally melts through any guard no matter what stance you’re using). Then I run 2xstaggered damage stats (up to 40% damage to staggered enemies), poison blade which also staggers enemies, stone striker (with water stance) that does even more damage to staggered enemies with heavenly strike. Basically insane stagger build with the ghost weapon damage, bombs and caltrops (which also stagger). Very fun build, worth giving a shot if you haven’t tried it.

This is an amazing build. I just ran through 3 Nightmare Survivals with this build and didn’t have the flash bomb. Kept everyone alive. It was so nice and still got 2nd highest kills.

You ever try Healing Spirit + Spirit Bear on the Ronin charm? I am cheesing Gold survival with 2-3 bears at a time that heal anyone nearby (use Healing Spirit Radius Increase). Have to give up some fire damage but getting 150-200 kills anyway using the Spirit Kunai with Super Massive + Hidden Blades. Feels balanced in Platinum survival. Struggling in Nightmare mode, though.

Ghost Weapon damage stat only affects the items in Ghost Weapon 1 and 2, it does not affect the Katana nor the Ranged slot. I play a similar Ronin, instead of Smoke bomb i use Caltrops for another +20% to Ghost Weapon damage for a total of 110% GWD bonus from the Stealth Charm, gw1 & gw2 and Enhanced Ghost Weapons. This makes the Spirit Kunai 1shot all small enemies and some medium size enemies, so you constantly have your cooldowns refreshing multiple times each fight. Instead of "Healing Incense" i use the "Flame Burst" and for the Ultimate i use "Fire Breath" instead of the "Soothing Breath". Instead of only +12% fire damage on the Stealth Charm, it makes more sense to get +18% to status effect damage, which means fire anyway. 18 is more than 12 :D Additionally Status Effect Damage synergizes with poison blade if you happen to have it on your katana or use a poison barrel. Super massive is drastically better than fired up. fired up only does about half a bar of damage, whereas super massive does two bars. plus it hits 5 total enemies instead of 2. so you're comparing 1 bar of damage vs 10. (assuming all 5 kunai hit something) On top of that the fire from kunai does NOT trigger the Spirit Kunai's 10second cooldown reduction ability, it only happens when the damage from the kunai itself is the last hit of the kill. the theme of this variation is "who needs to heal when everything is already burnt to a crisp?

Unless they recently patched it, I just recorded a video about two weeks ago where the fire damage from the kunai (the burn) does grant you the 10 second cool down. Edit: Felt the need to go test again. At one point it was working because I have an older video. Now it’s only granting the cooldown reduction on kill for burn and not increasing any percentage of my class ability or wotf. Sucks :/

Hey dude great vid I'm trying to roll for the stats on my stealth charm right now! One thing I've noticed though is that the stealth charm has both fire damage and SED available, both affect fire but SED goes up to 18% while fire only rolls up to 12%, would there be any reason to take fire damage over SED?

Hey fam! I prefer Fire Damage because it effects ALL fire sources including barrels and ignite from kami gifts. Where as status effect damage only effects the damage from the burning of the fire from your character only. Hope that makes sense.

I have pretty much the same setup but with the oni damage stacked up instead of fire damage on my charm. And I run 50% healing increase as a technique cus it basically makes the team invincible after using my ultimate

Fire damage boosts all manner of fire, which includes barrels and the kami stuff as well as that one class ability. status effect only affects your bombs and flaming Kunai/sticky’s/dirt throw/caltrops. 12% fire is just better in terms of boosting EVERYTHING when it comes to fire damage, status effect is more limited.

Fire damage is multiplied by every source of fire. So you turn on way of the flame and do your five piece water strike. Each hit is a different source of fire you applied to that person so by the last hit your doing 60% fire damage on top of fire master. For spawn points if you throw down demon seeds that are fired up every little tack is a different source of fire, then your 2 black powder bombs, then your flaming ability... It all stacks. So the samurai's new ability each hit while that is turned on is a source, for hunters each fire arrow and your explosive arrow is a new source of fire. It's used to multiply fire damage if you have multiple sources. When you stack that with fire master you basically take the mongols to hell.

IMO the resolve technique is a waste in this build. Since you are running Kunai and not heavenly strike the resolve is wasted. Healing would be better. Just my opinion. Since you are fire damage based you can use your Ult to max effect by dealing fire damage and still heal players through incense, drums, pick ups or shop.

Thats what i was gonne say after seeing the build. A shame to waste the nice fire damage without the fire ult. I got no problem throwing healing incense and running across the whole map to revive a fallen ally but any player should have at least one decent way of healing themselves. You got to be self sufficient hwen it comes to healing. The occacional quitter will be there always, so i let them leave which means more enemies for me. Speedrunning is a total different story.

For me bomb pack gameplay is boring. Unlocked Forbidden Medicine for samurai and don't even use it. Spamming bombs makes me feel detached from combat which is great in this game.
