Samantha doesn’t want to rent, she wants a free home. Funny how no one else was willing to give up their home for her.

Samantha got herself into this mess. Samantha can get herself out of it. How is it anyone else's problem? They're not obligated to do anything. Especially not "for the good of the family." That's not to say they shouldn't offer any help, but to give up what they worked so hard for is total BS!

I think the reason why she didn't consider that option was because she didn't want to rent a home, she wanted to own a home.

The Samantha was eyeing her brother and SIL's house when she called them told them about having to move. I can't believe all these relatives giving the cold shoulder, but none of them had their own solution. With Samantha's behavior, I'm wondering why she and her husband divorced.

They could help the sister move in, and even give her the first months rent. At the end of the day, while giving her a big hug, whisper, “Don’t Ever Ask Us For Help Again”. And when she gives a surprise Pikachu, say “because you tried to steal our house”.

Why is it everyone else's responsibility to help Samantha find housing while she sits on her lazy ass like a spectator. Martha and the other relatives should have offered to help instead of trying to bully Jenny and her family into giving up their home.

It's amazing how family members expect them to give up their home and start over. They've worked hard and put in the blood, sweat, and tears to achieve it. And other family members complaining about them being selfish and need to think about her nieces and nephews. No one else seems to be willing to put up their home and didn't even try to come up with other alternatives. It seems other people are always telling someone to do something that they are unwilling to do themselves. Totally obnoxious.

Why is the first 'option' considered purely to be for a family to literally give up their house? Why were they, whom were singlehandedly giving her temporary refuge, being called selfish, yet far as any of us can be aware of, none of the others offered refuge, renting, or property transference? Why wasn't external rental residences considered, or sought out, before such an unreasonable demand was made? What did she get in said divorce the kids & alimony... yet their ex got their property... doesn't make any sense. Its quite rare when custody issues & property division comes about that the custodial parent would be made homeless, while the single one whom I'm guessing has a job sits comfortably in the once family home... makes no sense. Like i get shes stressed out etc.... but still how can anyone especially someone considered an adult think that was a rational demand... IQ test, reasoning skills etc should be mandated to earn the right to have their own noncustodial POA as an adult... instead of age being a defining factor.

I’d have immediately asked at the party for anyone else who was willing to give up their home and then to have to pay for two homes to raise their hands. Or have loudly voluntold someone backing her up that it’s great to know she can take your house then since you’re so supportive of the idea.

It’s funny how people always think it’s cool to spend other people’s money! Especially when one has money. Trying to make people feel guilty about being successful by saying they can do it is disgusting. No one owes you a living. She wants a free house. No one with common sense should think that makes good sense.

This is the perfect example of sticking to your guns. She wants a free home, I don't. If they had 20 rooms, that's their home !! How dare you say you can easily find another home. I would have said to the mom to give her your home and to the others talking. She has child support alumina she doesn't want to work; she wants it handed to her. The offer of a tempo stay was more than fair, and I would not since she did this. I would end this quickly: No take renting, get a job, or tough luck.

Some of these are 100% unbelievable. Asking someone to give up their home is unrealistic and unreasonable. Not ONE person thought if renting, for all of that time? Would I make the same choices. F No. I would tell anyone that insisted that I give up my house to 1:Give up your own place. 2: Don't ever contact me again. Plus I would tell Samantha and Martha that the offer for the temporary stay was no longer extended. Don't ever come to us for help of any kind ever again. At that point I wouldn't care where Samantha ended up. Martha wouldn't see her grandkids for a long, long time. If ever.

Listening to this story again. Things don't add up. Samantha says the husband got the house in the divorce. If this went before a judge, what judge would allow the children to become homeless. Why wouldn't they have awarded the father custody of the kids, or made the husband if he was the breadwinner, pay for a place for his children to stay, if Samantha had been a SAHM.

What crazy nonsense is this. Samantha needed a place to live short term supposedly until she could find a new place. She’s a single mother, so Jenna invited her into her place just until she could find a place to rent. Then all of a sudden because of Samantha and Martha, they wanted Jenna to give up her house to Samantha and calling her selfish that she didn’t and dividing the family. Totally ridiculous. This was the house that Janet and her husband bought. They have four children. Why should they have to leave their house and just turn it over to Samantha. You didn’t want to upset Samantha’s children, but what do you think you’ll be doing a gym is children. There’s no way Samantha deserved a free ride because she was a single mother. Turns out they were plenty of options in her price range out there, so why on earth did they try to take Janet’s house away from her and her family Samantha and Martha two monsters. I’m glad they finally got Samantha into her own place to rent.

I would have said that meeting, why is the well-being of her and her family. More important than the welfare of my family. You are all talking about her kids and her. What about me and my family. What about all the time effort and sweat we have put into this house. What about how this will affect my children by displacing them. You all are turning your backs on us we can just go buy a new house where we supposed to get the money are you going to give us the money for the new house. Are we just supposed to pull it out of our ass. Fine you won't want to smoke out the house you will pay us for the house we will move out and then we will have money for the new house. Where's selfish because we don't want to put our kids out in the street because of her marital situation failing. How is that become our responsibility. Mom why doesn't her and the kids move in with you. Mom why don't you move out of your house it's only you so you don't have any kids. So why don't you move out of your house and give it to her. I'll return the other relatives why aren't you moving out of your house and giving it to her. You guys are all old it's no problem you can do it. As long as none of you have to be bothered or inconvenience. It's amazing how generous people are with other people's stuff. None of you none of you don't damn right well that you wouldn't have moved out of your house. And you would have thought you people must be crazy if you're asking me this. But when it's somebody else oh you're real quick to say oh yes give it to him. Again it's amazing how generous you are with other people's things. And the fact your blatant disregard for my myself my wife and my children is unacceptable. I would have got up at that house I would have walked out that door and that family would not see me for another year!!!!!
