Your video is very inspirational to me. Currently 20 weeks with a shortened cervix. They have given me a Pessary and protesgerone suppositories to use at night. I pray everynight to help me carry my baby to full term. Knowing that you made it to 39 weeks brings me comfort

Alisha Jones I’m so glad I can bring a little light into your situation! I was where you were and I was scared every second of the way. Alisha Jones good luck. I had my son at 29 weeks because they refused to listen to me and my concerns. I told them I was high risk with my daughter but it was 10 years ago. I had bed rest with her and made it until 38 weeks. I know my body so I should have demanded they treat me and my son! I argued at 27 weeks there was something wrong and they checked me and then I was in the hospital until I had him. Good luck!!

I found out about my cervix being abnormally short at about 24 week and had my daughter at 35 weeks and she was born healthy when the doctors told me about it they had put me on bed rest I was given many medications and steroids to help her develop more quickly and it helped quite a bit I am now going to start trying for my second and last child but think about it has brought back all the same fears I had when I found out last time

This is inspiring. Im confined now for the same reason but Thanks God my cervix is improving Im 28 weeks pregnant. Your testimony gives me encouragement. Because yes it is really lonely here in the hospital and yet I cant see my husband,Visitors are not allowed because of Covid. Im just praying for us to make it full term😍

I hope you make it full term as well. I couldn't imagine not being able to see my family. I was at least able to have my husband visit over the weekend. It got really tough being alone in the hospital, but hopefully you won't have to be there much longer and they release you early. I wish you the best on your journey. It will all be worth it when your little one is safe in your arms!

I just had miscarriage of 3 months pregnancy because of my cervix apper open at week 10th and it was keep thinning, your testimony is encouraging and giving hope if i face same challenge in future. God bless you and your family. Your babies are adorable.

@@Briham hi Briham, were you also on bed rest? I just lost my baby, I was 18 and a half weeks pregnant. Now I'm just terrified the same thing will happen if I get pregnant again. Doctor told me if I do she will give do a cerclage at 13 weeks and send me home... I'm so scared

@@ayedicko6452 I'm so sorry for your loss. My doctor did not put me on bed rest this time. Instead I was put on pelvic rest the entire time I had the cerclage. However, I did try to take it easy as much as possible. I was also high risk so I had doctor visits every 2 weeks. Pregnancy can be extremely scary and I can't imagine how you must feel after losing your baby. But I hope that your next pregnancy goes incredibly smooth. You never know unless you try, right?

I am 4 weeks and I have a dilated/ open cervix, my doctor say its not normal and he gave me antibiotics. I'm afraid because he said it should be close during early pregnancy

I’m 20 weeks baby’s head is down and my cervix is 1.2 and they put me on progesterone. I pray that it works and all pregnant woman have safe pregnancy

Ashton Mohamed Hey, I’m 17 and I was diagnosed with an incompetent cervix at 21 weeks and started progesterone at 23 weeks. Currently 31w6d expecting to have her in the next 4-6 weeks.

Kurinian I wish you and the baby a safe and healthy delivery! It’s definitely really scary I’m in the hospital right now at 27 weeks due to back pain but everything is looking ok as of right now. Ur going to be an amazing mommy!

Kurinian Hi! I hope that you have a safe and happy delivery. I was 21 when I had my first baby so I know it can be extra scary especially when you’re so young, but once your baby is here it will all be so worth it. Full term is 37 weeks and you aren’t too far off. Just keep drinking plenty of water and getting lots of rest! Best of wishes momma!

Briham I’ll be 21 in April and yes it’s really but as of right now baby boy and I are doing really good not cervix is not changing and I thank god for that! We are definitely some strong mommy’s!! Thank you so much!

I went to my ultrasound appointment on Christmas Eve and found out that I was 5 cm dilated. It was a normal appointment and it wasn’t high risk at all. My obgyn sent me to the hospital and the maternal fetal doctor told me I could get a cerclage but they would have to test my amniotic fluid first which I was not happy about so I didn’t want to risk rupturing my sac. Basically on Friday 12/27/19, I went into labor with my baby girl and she did not make it. I have 3 full term kids ages 3,6,&9. This has never happened before and I had no risk before this. It was devastating. I later found out that my placenta had an infection so even if they tested my amniotic fluid, I wouldn’t have been able to keep my baby. This may or may not have anything to do with my situation, but with my kids I had an African American doctor and they checked for EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME... this pregnancy I had a female Caucasian doctor and I kept telling her something didn’t feel right. Instead of actually checking me to be on the safe side she kept having me take UTI meds and yeast infection cream. Not knowing if that was really the issue. Maybe I feel that it would have happened differently or maybe I would have found out sooner had I went to my old ob. Not sure but I can’t fathom the situation fully and still have unanswered questions. I pray for anyone who went through or is going through this. If you were able to carry full term, congrats and God bless you and your family. If you loss your child, understand to take it a day at a time and to cope with it how you need to cope with it. There are also support groups and etc available to moms like me.. I am also here too!

I know that I will be sure to get looked at if I ever feel like anything doesn't feel right. Some doctors do not care about your well being and it's super important to find someone that you trust. Just lost my baby at 18 weeks. High risk going every two weeks for check up. Doctor was white and every problem I mentioned she did not care. I feel I was deprived of preventive measures. I'm so hurt, I can't stop crying.

new list Hi hunn! I am so sorry to hear that you experienced a loss. I understand completely how you feel! You loss something so precious and oh so valuable to you and your life and it hurts. It’s devastating! Understand that experiencing a loss never gets “easier” but as time goes on you learn to cope with it a little more each day. I believe that doctors of other ethnicities should take extra precaution with (black) woman. Especially when we’re experiencing discomfort. Take this journey a day at a time.. and grieve as healthy as possible. I still cry thinking about my baby and as a mother we always will. Chat with me if you need to, I’m here for you! ❤️

This gives me hope for my next pregnancies. I just had a stillbirth some days ago at 17 weeks, I got an emergency cerclage because my cervix completely flattened.. but then my water broke during the night because of some infection i got during the cerclage procedure and it didn't stop until there wasnt a heartbeat anymore.. they cut my cerclage and I delivered my baby boy that night 💔

I'm glad you were able to get your surgery! I hope your pregnancy goes very smooothly! And all I can suggest is to follow your doctors orders! I laid on the couch and in bed with my feet up when I had the cerclage placed and I only got up to use the restroom. If you do this, I would suggest wearing compression socks to keep blood flowing. And drink lots of water!! Congrats and best wishes!

I am 24 weeks pregnant and just got a cerclage 2 days ago. My cervix was 1.3 cm and after the cerclage dr I was good to go home keep on working no bed rest and the Progesterone suppository and it has work.

I'm so glad that everything is going well for you! That is phenomenal!! I just found out that I am pregnant with baby number 3 and the doctor has me scheduled to get a cerclage at 12 weeks!! Wish me luck lol

Yes mines was a rescue at weeks.. my cervix had thinned to 2.1cm

@@shanicebrown7980 Oh my goodness, that has to be super scary! When I got my cerclage the doctors could never give me any answers. It drove me crazy! It even surprised them when I kept holding up week after week. My cervix even grew back a little! Just take it day by day and soon you'll have your bundle of joy in your hands! My doctor started getting concerned at 19 or 20 weeks with me when my cervix was around 2 cm. I'm not a doctor or an expert but my doctor told me that the normal range was around 4 cm. Please, if you are concerned, let your doctor or caregiver know so that you can get more accurate information and appropriate help for you and your baby. I hope this helps.
