Problem was though they *weren't* honest with her. I get illness is scary and hard to deal with, but she had every right to know her mother was sick if nothing else then because it would help her understand why they live the way they do. Orlando had good groundwork to build his lies on because of them. That's why they should have come clean long before any of this happened.
