How do you like driving the vehicle on-road? Hearing that the steering feels very loose. Observations?

I am very impressed by the on-road performance.better than I expected! The steering is "different". There is a little dead spot in the center when unloaded but you get used to that quite fast and then you don't notice it anymore. I will address that issue in my next video!!

there is a new video online where I address the steering and show a little clip riding on the freeway/motorway

Is it different from snorkel? Can you point out the location of air intake (assuming that you don't have raised air intake) if possible? I am just curious how wading depth is not changing with having it. I think you mentioned in your video, but I didn't get it.

hi. I have the raise air intake as you can see on the video - it's always on the right side of the car no matter which steering side you have. it doesn't change wading depth cause the breathers for the differentials aren't changed. but I know that test engineers went way deeper than the official 800mm wading depth!!! so it works as a snorkel but you won't get a guarantee from Ineos. hope that answers your question..

@@grenadier_exploring Thanks, I am not an expert with it. I thought the raised air intake is for air intake of engine, but having your answer, it is likely for intake of differentials. I should do some research on it

@@_willkim no worries - me neither ;-). The raised air intake is for the engine!!! but to get a higher wading depth you need additional modifications and since the breathers are NOT changed, the official wading depth remains the same. Plus you need to seal electrics etc.! but i got no detailed info on that.....

I was told by an Ineos representative that the raised air intake can be removed easily if desired. The intake simply remains on the side of the engine compartment. True ? Thanks
@grenadier_exploring Жыл бұрын
i am sure you can remove it easily but the right (side) indicator is ON the raised air intake if you opt for it. not sure how that would work if u remove it 🤷🏼♂️

@@grenadier_exploring thank you. That would be a conversation with the dealer !

So, are you saying the diff breathers are raised if you option with the car with the raised air intake?
@grenadier_exploring Жыл бұрын
they are NOT raised. that's (another reason) why the wading depth doesn't change. sorry if that was unclear...

Is that the petrol engine?

that's the diesel!!

It sounds terrible! Not for me. Could be useful in very dusty conditions but not in UK I'm thinking.

really? I like the sound of it. But preferences are different ;-). I am planning to take my Grenadier to Iceland, (dry) southern Europe and deserts as well. So I will need the Raised Air Intake. But as you say, probably not that important in the UK.
