Everything I thought I knew about Invisalign was totally wrong so I hope this vlog will give you a good idea as to what to expect if you want to get yo teeth fixed girl. Definitely consider it! And the beauty of Invisalign is that no one can tell you're wearing them. (They're invisible, as the name implies.) So even without masks, they're perfect. :)

I’m a month into Invisalign and I’m now on tray 3. I’m glad to be working from home because I can’t imagine taking the trays in/out at the office and having to go to the bathroom to brush my teeth multiple times a day.

i've had both braces and invisalign and invisalign is definitely more convenient, comfortable, hygienic, and precise. I think the most important thing is to have a really good orthodontist. Not all orthodontists who offer invisalign are good at it. Find one that cares both about the aesthetics as well as the overall health of your mouth.

I'm on tray 8/36 of my invisalign. The first trays were so uncomfortable. The trays kept cutting up my cheeks and gums and my teeth were sore. After that, I haven't had any issues with teeth sensitivity or gums being cut. The hardest thing is remembering to bring a teeth cleaning kit everywhere I go so I can brush and floss after drinking or eating. Speaking of eating, having invisalign has forced me to stop my constant snacking habit. It's such a pain to brush all day so now I only eat 3 times a day... like I should have been doing all along. Another pro is that the trays act as a night guard at night so that I don't grind my teeth. I live in TX and my treatment costed $4,050. Totally worth it.

You’re teeth look great! I’m currently on my invisalign journey. My teeth were okay before, but now that they’ve moved (especially my lower teeth), I never realized how bad they were. I have a pretty bad overjet, so I’m excited too see the end results :) I’ve had both braces and invisalign and I’d say invisalign is def better!

I've suffered with really bad TMJ for my entire life and was always told I could help it by correcting my bite. I didn't realize how much Invisalign could help with the annoying jaw clicking until this video. Thank you SO MUCH for this. I'm definitely getting Invisalign asap.

I finished invisalign about 2 months ago. Happy to report that my in addition to having nice straight teeth and fixing my crossbite, my TMJ is mostly gone now too. But most of that only started happening near the end and honestly... still is improving right now, 3 months later.

I just finished my invisalign treatment! It took 1,5 year and 47 trays plus 15 in the second round of refinements. I can say that only the first 2-3 trays were uncomfortable.

For anyone who is done with their treatment, i have a question. I needed pretty minor changes but still, i eneded up only needing 16 trays (although might be a lot idk) but now wearing my last one i can still easly fit it the first tray. Is that normal? Because i feel like my dentist is gaslighting. Because how i see this if the change was so minor then why so many trays or why has nothing changed. Please someone share your experience i'm very desperate

Also! If anybody is scared of the price, see what your dental insurance covers. I didn’t have coverage at first but was able to switch to a different plan that was able to cover $1500. So mine came to about $3800 with the insurance discount. Look into it! $1500 is a lot

@@N0lemts yes. I believe it would have been 5500 for bottoms and tops without the insurance. But the insurance was able to cover $1500 and the orthodontist I went to had a couple hundred discount. But that’s the total $3800 for both top and bottom for the whole time I will need the Invisalign which I believe is about 50 trays total.

Great overview! Those first few weeks really are the worst. I'm on week 8 of 29 (that's two full boxes!) and sometimes I forget I even have my aligners in! I paid $6,500 here in NV. I got braces when I was 14, but got Invisalign when I was 24 since my retainers broke when I was around 23. When I got Invisalign I chose to use a teeth vibrator to speed up the Invisalign process . I had Invisalign for about 7 months instead of over a year. Definitely need to wear them for most of the day though.

Super accurate review! I'm currently on my Invisalign treatment, with 11 months to go. Yes, the first week will feel tight but after that you get use to it. My only complaint is that some of my aligners came sharp so it would cut parts of my lips/mouth, maybe because I have thicker lips and bigger teeth. However, it's totally worth it! I've had crooked teeth all my life and I wanna hit 30 with better teeth lol also my TMJ clicking is gone so that's a bonus.

Hi Aja! I love watching your videos! I was wondering if your dentist shaved any of your teeth to make room for movement? I’ve been to 2 different dentists and both want to shave my teeth and say it is necessary for invisalign to work. This is the only thing that is keeping me from getting it. They say the shaving is minimal and that I won’t notice it but it just scares me so was wondering if you had that done too then maybe I’d feel better about doing it. Hahaha!

Same here. I chalk it up to being one of the things I most want to fix in my appearance, so it consciously stands out on other people as I find someone with good teeth to have an attractive smile. Someone's smile is #2 in top physical features I find attractive behind their eyes.

I am also giving myself a teeth makeover - firstly I am removing the ton of silver fillings I have and replacing them with white. Then aligners - I am so torn between getting clear aligners via my dentist or using one of those direct to consumer braces. They're more affordable but you can't get things like attachments done since the consultations are virtual. Then probably some whitening and composite bonding on my front teeth!

I too had fixed braces when I was younger, I didn't wear my retainer as much as I should have, but in my defence it was when retainers had the big bit of plastic in the roof of your mouth which was horrible as a kid in school. They said I could have had the bar at the back, i wish i did that they would still be straight. My top are fine but my bottom are all over the place.

Imperfect teeth are part of what what make people beautiful and characterful in my opinion. You're still beautiful of course, and your bottom teeth are certainly way better but I can't deny that I miss your upper teeth ☺️ It's great that it's fixed your jaw issues and that you're happy with it. Certainly beats veneers. Ps. I'm British, we tend to embrace our perfectly imperfect teeth.

I love your viewpoint ❤ On many people I agree, but I’m doing invisalign right now partially due to how badly I grind my teeth due to my cross-bite. There are definitely some health reasons to do it, though I like the aesthetic of straight teeth. I have heard that in the US we are far more concerned about our teeth being straight & white than people in other countries though which I think is funny lol

invisaligns are the best! i have 23 trays and change them every week, it's also so much more hygienic so less likelihood of getting a cavity compared to braces. i basically only had invisaligns for nearly 6 months :D also now that we are in a pandemic, i don't have to go to the ortho as often and my treatment is super speedy.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Aja! I just finished almost a year of Invisalign, and I'm very happy with the outcome. :) Like you, the trays hurt for the first set. I was really afraid that I wouldn't handle a whole year of it, but luckily it got way easier with each tray... To where you don't notice at all, like you said. Also, I had a really annoying lisp for the first tray, which made me talk funny. And thankfully, I didn't need those buttons on my teeth, but I did hear it's common. My whole treatment was $4k in Texas... $2k out of pocket with insurance.

For payment, which is usually a pretty common question for Invisalign, my treatment plan costs 5,900 I put 1,500 down and made monthly payments over the course of the two years I’ve had my Invisalign in for. Idk how common it is for orthodontists to offer payment plans but at least you can make payments towards the total cost with no interest and no impact to your credit score because it isn’t a loan or anything, hope this helps someone.

I have had my first tray on for 8 days now. I change every 10 days. I only had 14 trays to use. It has been uncomfortable but not painful. It is easier to take them.out from the inside of your mouth instead of the outside. The app is ok but I rarely use it, my dentist wrote the date on the packet of each tray so I know what days to change. I'm looking forward seeing what they will look like

Man, the first tray is so painful for me and my whole face was itchy for days! Some of the glue from the studs got onto my face so it end peeling a part of my skin off on my cheek. I'm still suffering from pain and teeth soreness, I hope it goes away soon. Luckily I don't eat when I'm working cause when I'm in workmode, I'm a workaholic. Talking is the issue right now. By the way, I feel you about dentist. It's so hard for me to find a good dentist that I'm comfortable with. I HATE THE DENTIST. I didn't even bother to shop around. Mine is $5,000.

I am on my last tray rn, and I go to the dentist tomorrow for my final 'check up'! 20 trays, 5 months! I had moderate crowding (it was way more than moderate in my eyes but that's because I had obsessed over how bad my teeth were for years!) but it all took was 5 months to straighten my teeth up completely! I was, and am, in shock and awe at how easy the whole process has been. Working from home during the pandemic might have helped this as I often would drink tea and coffee and not even bother taking the trays out as I figured it was better to have them in for as long as possible. Not sure how your friend ate in them? You can't even chew properly loll. Def reccomended to anyone considering it, its expensive but so worth it and the pain is seriously fine, unless you can't handle the smallest amount of pain, the pain means something is working!!!!!!!!!!!! and it only lasts for the around the first 48 hours! My worst tray was tray 16(!), I was gobsmacked at how tight they were on my teeth - I couldn't even push them on they were so tight and cried taking them out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've wanted this but I am good at losing things and forgetful... Equally if I want something enough I make it happen so would pop in the Invisalign immediately after eating I reckon. I thought you were at the end, why are you still using one? When will that stop or does it vary from person to person?

retainers are different from Invisalign. I am done but you need to wear a retainer at night to make sure your teeth stay straight.

Speaking from experience, the buttons and first tray effing HURT. I've had all kinds of dental nonsense done, and the first like 2-3 weeks with the buttons and trays were HARD

im on my day 2 now, and lol yes very yess to this clear braces diet. im so lazy to take it off so im only on a strict 3 meals plan per day, morning, afternoon, evening, im so lazy to eat snacks knowing how bothersome it is to open the alligner for both jaws

Thank you for sharing your Invisalign journey! I recently started my Invisalign treatment (on my 3rd week now). The plan is that I’ll have 14 trays (change every 7 days). I notice however that treatment plans are much longer in the US compared with UK or EU (I live in Sweden)for minor misalignments or perhaps I’m missing something 😀. Anyway thanks again for sharing, your smile is absolutely stunning and also you are in general very beautiful! Best of luck with everything!

43/53 weeks atm. Honestly such an incredible journey. I had very very minimal pain during the entire process. Most painful times were probably during the middle of treatment.

I am never going g to understand why people are so non-compliant with braces and retainers. You spend thousands of dollars and all this effort and decision making to go with Invisiline so how would a person just forget to put their trays back in? You feel them in your face all damn day, wouldn't you notice when it isn't there? Bizzare to me. But then again, this is coming from someone who did exactly what the dentist told me when I had braces as an 11 year old like it was my job. Like...don't you want to get it over with? Idk. Anyway, good video. I unfortunately am having jaw issues even though I had braces as a kid and have been wearing the same clear aligner to bed as a retainer ever since. Sometimes there's nothing you can do, can't have the same teeth for all eternity I guess.

Dear Aja, thank you for this video. How were the attachments removed? I had a really bad experience with Invisalign as the orthodontist removed the attachments and with them he removed layer of my enamel and made marks and deep lines on my teeth. Also the specific teeth look more yellow now as enamel was removed, and lack luster. What is the situation of your teeth now?

8k Cdn, but I had very sever grouping/crowding, and a baby tooth that didn't drop as the adult tooth grew in right next to it. A tugboat was required to pull the adult tooth to the location of the baby tooth

Just got my invisalign about a week ago and it cost me 4500 but that was with a 2000 credit from my health insurance towards braces so it was bout 6500 dollars. Im almost on my 2nd tray. The first day I got it was kind of bad for me I had the worst headache ever and it was just hella tight and not comfortable. It's getting better over time. I'm excited to see the progress I have later. I only have to wear mine for 8 to 9 months.
