Disclaimer: this is my personal experience
Things to consider:
As a precautionary measure, all applicants visiting IOM are required to have a health screening, including body temperature check at the entrance. Those with fever will be asked to leave and will be rescheduled to another day once they have recovered.
Applicants with signs and symptoms of Coronavirus (e.g. fever, respiratory symptoms including cough and shortness of breath) will be referred to local health authorities.
If you are currently in quarantine and/or have been in contact with a COVID-19 positive person, please let us know prior your appointment.
If you had undergone a COVID-19 test, please let us know as well.
Before coming to IOM Manila Health Centre, please take note of the following:
“No Confirmed Appointment, No Service Protocol”
No Mask, No Entry. We highly encourage our applicants to use new or unused surgical masks. If using a cloth mask, make sure that it is newly washed/clean. Please refer to the infographics on the proper use and disposal of masks found in the clinic premises.
Please come only at your exact appointment time.
Companions will only be allowed for those in need of special assistance.
No walk-ins.
Please make sure to bring your complete requirements. Those with insufficient requirements will be rescheduled to the next available date of appointment.
Please bring your own pen.
The clinic only accepts cash payments. Please bring sufficient cash for your medical fees, with extra in case of additional test(s).
Practice frequent hand hygiene.
Maintain physical distancing at all times.
Bringing outside food and drinks is highly discouraged. However, if applicants need to eat due to certain medical condition(s) kindly inform IOM staff to assist you. Please note that fasting is not required for the medical exam. Water dispensers are available inside the clinic, please bring your own reusable water bottle.
List of Requirements:
Actual and valid PASSPORT
2 pieces of government-issued photo ID (one will be surrendered to the Ground Floor security upon entry and one will be presented at the clinic)
Voter’s ID
PRC ID
Driver’s License
SSS ID
TIN ID
Philhealth ID
Postal ID
NBI clearance
1 Photocopy of passport and ID
For students/ children
Actual and valid passport
PSA Birth certificate
School ID - for the current school year
1 Photocopy of passport and ID/birth certificate
For applicants with previous certificates, kindly make sure to bring the original certificate with you.
For MINORS to be accompanied by their guardians (instead of parents), below are additional requirements aside from the above that must be brought for security purposes:
Letter of authorisation from the parent
Scanned copy of passport of the parent
Government issued ID of the guardian
*** These documents can be scanned and then emailed to the guardian by the parent in the UK. Guardian can print it and bring it on the day of the medical.
If applicant is PREGNANT:
Please secure a clearance from your Ob-Gyne if you are allowed or not allowed to undergo x-ray procedure
If you will be allowed, we have an extra shield to protect you and your unborn child in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters
If you are not allowed:
a sputum test (phlegm coughed up from your lungs) will be conducted which will require applicants to return to IOM on 3 consecutive mornings or
wait until delivery for an x-ray to be performed
The fees for the test are as below. Please be informed that we only accept cash as mode of payment. No need for advanced payment. Fees will be settled at our Cashier’s Office in the clinic on the day of your scheduled appointment.
11 years old and above - Php 3,600.00
10 years old and below - Php 600.00
Other reminders:
If the xray and physical exam conducted by the doctor yield normal results, you can get your UKTB certificate within 2-3 hours of your appointment
Please bring other relevant medical documents.
If the results are normal, certificate is usually valid for up to 6 months from the date of your medical
Please be informed that the Trafalgar Building Administration, where IOM Clinic is situated, has a strict dress code. As such, the following are not allowed within the building premises:
Sando
Sleeveless
Shorts
Slippers - Flip flops, beach/rubber slippers, Havaianas
