Thanks for showing the setup. I switched from 1440p to 1080p resolution (with triple screen) and have smooth ~120 fps now. It looks nearly the same, no disadvantages. I can highly recommend it and FPS has higher prio. as resolution.

@silvanhi How many FPS did you get on average with the 1440p's? I'm on a RTX 4070 Super and 7800X3D and want to switch to 1440p triples, but not sure if my PC will be powerful enough...

@@Lauvezzii hey, I would say ~95. But it depends a lot of the setting, track , dry/wet and overlays. I have 1440p 27”monitors, 4070 super, 7500f and using now 1080p for more fps ( ~115).

@@silvanhi Thanks! Yeah true, it varies a lot per track. I would be happy with around 100 FPS on average with decent settings, but I don’t want to turn everything down. Maybe 1080p will be the best option for me as well, but 1440p is tempting… 😅

Good thing is simagic and asetek both did updates not long ago to fix the high cpu usage and or memory leak. So most shoupd alresdy see a little boost. But this is great great examples on how to improve performance. Great video.

HDR is heavy hitter,but i love this sun reflexes in VR, albo dynamic objects add realistic shadows in cockpit (looks great for me)

turn off pcfp16p filter for VR, turn off HDR for VR, and SSR is a killer as well (I dont like driving in the rain anyways haha). I've found MSAA at Simple for VR looks nicest. My opinion of course.

why do you enable SPS(vr) if you run triples isnt it just for VR ?

MSAA neutral + sharpening makes no sense to me and after testing hits a little FPS. The simple option looks exactly the same with FPS gain. Also SSR Always hits FPS in dry conditions for absolutely no reason. I have been struggling with StutterGate and spent more time testing than racing for the past 3 months

@christopherlees3684 stuttergate lol, fairply with the simple settings, for me this works really well. I leave SSR on as I don't notice the fps dipping to a point I'd need to alternate for wet situations, but deffinatley on one or two of the new heavy GPS tracks this could be great ! Thanks man!

The Distortion and Heat Haze ON have less HIT than when OFF, an reduce Stuttering to 0 but I run one large curved screen, 2560x1440 4060 Ti RTX with 12GB

With the spec you have and running 1080s you surely should be able to run higher settings. I'm on 1440p screens with a 5800X3D 3080Ti and I run higher than this. I get on average 100fps

Open task manager when in session and make sure none of your iRacing processes are in efficiency mode. And I also have to reboot after every time I start up the PC for some stupid reason. Putting PC to sleep can also cause this issue

Small tip: DON'T blindly turn on Reflex on On or On + Boost! I'm GPU limited and it costs me 10-20 fps

@ correct. I blindly followed advice to always turn it on and when i checked it i actually lost 10-20 fps with it on. I’m guessing it only has a positive effect if you are CPU limited, and has negative effect when GPU limited

@ What are your specs? If you don’t know or don’t want to share there’s a pretty easy way to test this setting. Leave it on whatever setting you have it now, for example on + boost then jump in the car but don’t move. Note the fps you have. Then set it to on without boost, jump in the car again and then do the same thing for off. You can the put the setting on whichever option gave you the best fps :)

Me too. It's just for latency. It's not supposed to cost performance but it does. About 10fps for reflex and another 10 for boost. I don't notice any difference in latency with them off.

I recommend changing monitors from hd to 4k even on low settings you will have 4x better image in 4k than in this 1080p. I am still shocked that people use 2k and full hd monitors, it looks so bad that I don't even want to start the game. 4k on low and full hd on full details, still 4k is 3x better

by the way in full hd there are always more frames than in 4k, it makes me laugh a bit showing the settings for full hd. And writing about an incredible number of frames xd
