Thank you so much for keeping this up where I can still see the sweet lady whose tutorials I enjoy so much! Social media attracts some very ugly people and it's hard for people who are loving and caring not to be hurt by them.

When you said I know where the journey began but I’m not sure when it’s supposed to end, that brought tears to my eyes. RIP sweet girl & thank you for the light you brought to our world. 🌻

I've been making jewelry for several years now. It started out as kind of a hobby, but then, I had so much stock, I needed to unload some of it. My mom and my sister-in-law were my best clients. And my mom was a part of a bridge group who admired her jewelry, and so I got to sell many pieces to her friends. Sadly, a couple years ago, first my sister-in-law passed away suddenly after hip replacement surgery, then my mom passed away 8 months later. So my client base went away, as well as my will to even make jewelry. I'm still trying to get back into it. I love to watch videos of jewelry makers who keep in the bloopers. I am not on any kind of social media. I think it's a lot of hooey, full of fakes and phonys. I am thinking of opening an etsy store, but apparently you need to have a social media existence for that to be really successful. Lucky for me, both of my daughters are on social media and so can promote me. All that said, I greatly admire anyone who puts themselves out there on KZbin. You really open yourself up to all kinds of criticism from people who have not walked in your shoes. I watch lots of jewelry makers (beadshop.com, artbeads.com, backtoearthcreations.com, jessejamesbeads.com are some of my favorites) and have learned a lot. But also, a lot of my learning has come from just doing. Trial and error. I love that you show your mistakes. That will very much help someone who is trying to perfect a technique. I know from personal experience that we place more weight on personal attacks than on the positive feedback. I wish it weren't so, but I think it's because of our own personal insecurities. I hope you will know how much your videos inspire new jewelry makers (and even more seasoned ones like myself) and will let the negativity just roll off. Easier said than done, I know, but the great majority of us are pulling for you. Please let that count in your heart.

You did not fail on that last show! The city failed and the people that set the show up in the first place should of checked out things before setting the date. You are doing great with your video's! The mistakes made, makes it real and I feel like it makes it more interesting. Also, it lets me know that the mistakes I make is just a learning journey!

@@thisbeadedlife It's true what she said, because alot of them make it look so easy .And when I did my first bracelet it took about a hour. The beads kept falling off then when I was trying to do the crimp bead I had the same problem you had . So I hope if you keep doing this you will get the success that you are looking for. 🤗💖

The first time I heard about you was Chris’ tribute. I checked out your uTube channel and came across this video where you poured out your heart. I love your humanity, humility, and vulnerability. I can only imagine the effort that goes into creating a jewelry video! I celebrate your time on earth and the impact you had on folk’s lives. I know there’s a giant work bench in Heaven waiting for crafters like me; I fully expect to see you at the head of that table! I can not wait! Love and peace to your family and friends, and comfort to them in their remaining time here. A glorious day awaits those who believe and trust in Jesus; we shall all be together soon!❤️

You are so brave for making this video!! Way to stand up for yourself!! I have been a subscriber from almost the very beginning. I love watching your videos. I don't think I've ever commented though. We have a very similar jewelry making journey. I also started about 3 years ago by watching tutorials on KZbin. I too want to try all of the things!! Lol!! But unlike you I have been unable to put my work out there. I would like to get into craft shows but I don't know where to start. I've thought about making an Etsy page but that idea sounds so overwhelming. Don't let negative people get you down. You are amazing!!!

Hi Brooke! The Etsy page isnt hard to start at all. They walk you right through it. The hard part is talking the time to upload all the photos and write the descriptions. Its just time consuming. And Ive heard its very hard to get traffic to your store. Im still not sure how you accomplish that part lol. As far as craft shows go, I just google something like "craft shows near me" and see what pops up.

I watched the video about the chain and thought it was awesome. Some people are just not happy with themselves. Let Go and Let God deal with them. I heard your love for your children and I pray that you receive the comfort deep within. I also pray all goes well with your father and you continue to show us your creativity, love, compassion and humor. I normally crochet but due to pain in my hand and arm I had to stop. Beading, stringing and wiring is new to me. I create because it keeps me from fussing, cussing, flipping throwing, and choking lol, I have a teenage son. Stay true to you and you are correct no one knows what a person is going through. Continue to enjoy until it is no longer a Joy.

Keep on keeping it real Wendy! I enjoy your videos even with the bloopers. It is educational showing what could go wrong and how to fix it. Nobody is perfect and I don’t know of anyone who makes any kind of hand made item perfectly the first time they try. I can’t tell you how many times I pull something apart because the design wasn’t right or my technique wasn’t right. I have been making jewelry for 15 years and it still happens to me all the time. If someone thinks they can do something perfectly all the time then they are lying to themselves as well as to everyone else. Ignore the negative people. They are probably miserable and can’t stand it unless they make other people miserable too. Like I said, keep on keeping it real!

Please know that for all your Inspired followers, there's always others out there wanting to "rain on your Parade", who look to find fault...you know, the kind who think they're perfect or better than others. In actuality...threatened by your success. You are doing so much Good, in what you do. You keep it REAL, and teach others the ups & downs, and THAT boosts OUR sense of confidence, to know it's all part of making jewelry!!! I have been making jewelry for many years and I still learn new techniques from all the videos I watch. I make my jewelry because I love doing it, and my family likes it because their the ones that usually ends up with it. Thank you so very much.

Miss Wendy, you do not need to apologize for doing what most KZbin people fail to do “BE REAL.” I really appreciate that you allow use to see your true process. It made me feel like if I made a mistake it’s ok and beside gives all of us creative license. You and your channel are amazing. I hope you will remember haters are going to hate. My friend Bonita told me about your channel and I love it. Keep doing things your way. People need to get over themselves. Thank you for all the hard work you put into to do these videos. May God continue to strengthen you and your family. Thank you again so much and thank you for sharing your journey. I am praying God gives you wisdom so that you will become wealthy beyond your wildest dreams because of your faithfulness. 😍😍😍😍

Dear Wendy; You DO you! I've been making jewelry for 4 yrs... still learning new things. I actually like seeing people deal with real issues while making jewelry,as we all know there can be many issues that sometimes we don't know what to do. I enjoy watching others resolve these issues. That's how I learn. I watched that video with the chain necklaces and referred it to a fellow jewelry maker as she was looking for ideas with this kind of chain. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us and thank you for being human😉💗

Everyone who makes jewelry is always learning no matter how long they've been doing it. I love the experimental and real time way you make your videos. It's how we learn and if someone doesn't like that, the heck with 'em, lol. I promise you there are many of us who do appreciate your efforts, and you're a lovely person too. Please don't be discouraged and keep on doing what you do :-) Take care.

Hi Wendy, I just watched this. It is now Christmas Eve day, 2022. I’m sorry that there are people out there that haven’t been kind to you. Here we all are watching your videos and learning and some of us are not using kind words. How have people forgotten if you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all. I love your videos. I like learning from you, and even though some jewelry isn’t my style, each of your pieces are beautiful and it’s easy to learning something new each time. I learn when I’m making a new style, because it allows me to make jewelry that is someone else’s style. And if there are goof ups, we all know it’s a process, and sometimes if doesn’t work one way, we move onto the next. And people, if you don’t like something quit watching. No one is forcing you to watch. Be kind, and if you can’t… leave. This is Wendy’s channel and she can do it anyway she wants. God bless you Wendy. Love your channel!

I share so many of the bad experiences with craft shows as you do. I live in Mississippi and the town I live in doesn’t have many craft shows. Weather has been my biggest problem. The main show is in April and I have done it 2 years in a row. Both shows were in awful cold, windy and rainy with rafts being OUTSIDE. I did not do it last year and weather was the same. That was my best business move. My journey started as fun to keep my hands and mind busy after retirement. But it DOES get pricey. I have also donated to schools. Don’t let the ugly comments get you down. She must have a miserable life. Like I said before, I relate to so many of the things you addresses. Thanks for sharing with us.

Wendy, I'm so sorry you've had to deal with unkind and rude comments! Maybe you should just have a hard and fast rule for your channel---no negativity allowed. Just delete and block. I know a lot of other youtubers have that rule for their channels. Don't even bother to give them the time or energy by responding. Then you will only have positivity in your space and the beautiful space you have created for all of your followers, subscribers, and friends. I love your channel and all of your videos!! You keep it real, bloopers and all lol. You are such a kind, beautiful, sweet, and talented woman!! Your love for creating, sharing, friendship, and God truly shows through your videos. I have been designing jewelry for many years and I still learn new things all the time and I learn new things from You!! Thank you for all of the video you share with all of us!! I'm very thankful for your YT channel because without it we might not have ever gotten to know each other and became friends. Much love and hugs to you my sweet friend!! 💕

You are so beautiful for the truth and I was so HAPPY to know that I am not the only one that has tried many times to do a project and I just can't get it right. Like you said the materials you need are not cheap but I pick up a few things when I get my check monthly and I am 0n a fixed income but I try everything I watch and after by the 6 time I give up and then I wait for a couple of weeks and try again and still can't get it. I started doing this, making jewelry and I love how most of these projects come out but I still can't get it. I sat and watched your video and I am not a person who criticize anyone because they're projects will either come out nice or terrible like most of my jewelry. But I keep trying and maybe one day I will get it. Thank you for giving me the STRENGTH to keep going. GOD BLESS AND THANK YOU FOR BEING SO KIND AND WONDERFUL PERSON. CROSS YOUR FINGERS, MAYBE I WILL GET IT. BLESS YOU HEART.

I had a terrible year and I thought maybe this would get my mind off of everything but nothing and when I tried to make jewelry and I couldn't get nothing right ,you really don't want to hear what I wanted to do so I sit here day by day trying. I just looked at a video by Alecia from Beadifulnights today that I remember struggling so hard to make it a few months ago. I tried and tried and just couldnt get it. But I tried again and I can do it now! So it gets easier the more you practice and the more experienced you get. Dont give up!

Don't worry about the haters on social media. Just keep doing what you do. It's fabulous. I have been making jewelry for the last nine yrs. I don't go to bead shows because I have severe asthma. Perfumes and colognes can kill me as well as everyday chemicals. Most everything I received beading wise I purchase online. I'm sorry that I forgot to properly introduce myself. I'm Beth, I live in Orlando, Fla and I'm the Grandmother of 9. Please just keep doing the good things and remember God loves you. Please say a prayer for this person. Have a blessed evening.

Hey Wendy, I wanted to let you know that I love watching your videos. I'm so excited when I see that you've posted a new video. You are my favorite jewelry making youtuber mostly because you're real in you videos. I have had a few negative comments on my videos too recently. It seems that some people are not happy if they aren't complaining about something and being rude to others. I've had to ignore a few that I thought about commenting back to but ultimately I decided that it was a waste of my time and effort to acknowledge that negativity. On the note of the magical crimping pliers. I have a pair and I both love and hate them. They do turn your crimps into beads and make your pieces look much nicer. However, they don't always work and they hurt my hand very quickly. I've actually gotten blisters from them and they have cut my coreana chain at the crimp a couple times because I didn't get it on there exactly right. I was actually going to send you some when I had the money but if you are interested in getting some now you can get them at Hobby Lobby. They are $19.99 and if you use your 40% off coupon they are like $11.99. They also need special crimps which can be found right next to the tool and are $6.99. I always make my honey go with me so I can get both for 40% off lol. Anyway don't let people's negativity get to you. You are an extremely talented jewelry designer and you inspired me to start my own channel after putting it off for so long. Besides some of the more edited videos for jewelry making are boring to me. Ttyl and don't get discouraged.

Hi Wendy, I'm very new to this, it's only been a couple of months since I started. I came to KZbin and found your videos and have loved them all, the tutorials and opening the bead boxes (I subscribed to one because you loved it...lol) . I can't get the hang of that crazy crimping tool either so I was actually glad to see someone with 3 years under their belt have trouble with it too! Keep up the good work, try to remember that no matter how hard you try, someone always has a negative comment, who knows why. Keep the videos coming. I'm going to run out and get some coreana chain...lol
