My Jinhao 100 Centennial Galactic Blue Fountain pen Review

A look at my Jinhao 100 Centennial. I love the colour scheme on this specific model!

I have a Jinhao 100 in Galaxy Blue, but it has black finials and a black section. It stays by my chair and is inked all the time, and is often the pen I reach for. I think yours has a better color than mine, which has 50% of the pen just being a dark blue.

I have a JinHao 100 in Black, it reminded me of a Duofold so I wanted it. Nib has a decent tuning whilst having a lil bit of feedback on Kokuyo 7mm paper. Used KWZ Honey with it and it was wet enough for me and decided to run Diamine Scarlet in it (but I at relieving it only had Platinum Meteor F nib / Parker Contact M nib experience). For €15 I believe I paid it’s a good looking and decent enough pen to carry on me.

Is the nib swappable with the x450?

How would you compare the writing experience of Jinhao centinial to Twisbi? You have reviewed the twisbi with Wateman harmonious green ink that is why i ask

Honestly both of these pens write amazingly well. The Jinhao Centennial feels quite smooth and flows well on paper but the TWSBI is a much wetter and flows thicker but equally well to write with. I shall be posting a video today in a few hours and will be having both pens to talk about in my February currently inked video.

Are these nibs really gold plated or is it some bluff on the part of the brand?

Honestly I think it is a bluff. I can't believe it is ACTUALLY gold implemented in any way shape or form haha. However it writes very well on this fountain pen. But with Jinhao their nibs are very hit and miss!

I got it off Temu. You won't find a whole heap of fountain pens there but they have some weird and wonderful stuff. I randomly ran into this one and I can't find it anywhere else like amazon etc.

Might the white section stain after awhile with the use of different inks?

Good question. I tend to try my absolute best to not dip the section of the pen into the ink. If I do get ink on the section I get a cloth and wipe it off as soon as possible. But I've not noticed any staining so far.
