This is the the most honest, raw and real journal flip through i've ever seen. i always want to journal but then i saw so many videos with fancy doodles and pretty handwriting, i feel intimidated and discouraged. thank you for this.
@gayatrinayal57585 жыл бұрын
I get what you mean.I felt the same way ! But then I started jounalling. I don't have super pretty handwriting and I keep it pretty simple.The main point of journalling is to just process your thoughts.Your journal need not look a certain way. I hope u give it a try !

Finishing a notebook or journal is such an accomplishment. It's the book of your life, your story. I've forgotten for a moment what that felt like now that I've gone the planner route. In some ways planners are similar, since you can also document your life in it each day. Journals are more for writing freely. That's probably why I own so much of them, yet leave them unfinished. I have so many of them, it's enough for me to start a series called "unfinished journal series," where I can try to finish these journals with whatever thoughts I'd like to fill them with. Your ideas in ways of filling in notebooks are inspiring me to continue to pick up on this series. I am definitely hoping to start on this again soon! Thank you!

I began journaling the beginning of 2016. Prior to that I thought writing in a journal/diary was corny and was convinced I would never keep one. But it really has been a life changing habit because you get to clear your head and allow for new & brighter insight to come in. Lovely video, Aileen.

Coincidentally yesterday my mother in law found a suitcase full of my old journals I filled up over the past dozen years, since I was 14/15 in high school! I journaled avidly since middle school, those are probably lost in my childhood home somewhere. Rereading entries from so long ago and spanning different relationships and many bad times, a few good times, I felt so heavy and my presence was thrown off track. I always wrote when I was feeling extra emotional haha. It was enlightening to skim through one more time and settle more deeply into my peace and satisfaction with right now. I am now ready to let them go in recycling and get those negative memories away from me 👋

Love this! My friend recently gave me a journal as a gift and I started to write every night, I write a summary of my day so I can look back years in the future to see how much I've progressed. I never enjoyed writing when I was in High school but I enjoy it now.. I just find it fascinating how I can write my thoughts down on a piece of paper and refer to them later on. Keep up the great work:)

I've been journaling since I was in the 5th or 6th grade when I first started reading The Princess Diaries and thought having a diary was incredibly cool and some cute boy would find my very witty entries and fall in love with me lol. It slowly started becoming a way for me to introspect, unload and feel heard. I don't keep my journals. I burn them. I find burning them cathartic. It feels like release. It feels like a new beginning.

I wish I could’ve started journaling as much as you did. I could never finish a book through out middle and high school. But I think now in my mid 20s more than ever this would be the perfect time to start journaling. This is where I’ve found myself the most lost, the most insecure and confused. I can’t wait to start journaling. Thank you!

Hi Lavendaire, of course I love your channel but I want to confess something.. I did pause the video to read some of your journal. I hope you're not angry. That Mary Oliver poem about death is so lovely and raw. Anyway, I didn't see much of interest to me personally in those pages however one thing is for sure -- you are definitely an Enneagram type Four.

Exactly the same ! This is totally me. I related so much to some pages, most of them actually. I've been living in existential crisis for around 7 years now, it feels good to know I'm not alone, it feels good to know there are ways to (re)define ourselves and make things clearer.
@liveslowordie50527 жыл бұрын
You also seem very interesting Kelyrin. I checked out your channel and subscribed-- I hope you make videos again sometime. It's really cool that you speak so many languages and travel a lot. I wonder where you live now? Taiwan, Paris, Bulgaria, Vietnam... Poland? Wow! I hope you come out of the existential crisis. Leonard Cohen (also an enneagram 4) helped me with his words, 'I found that things became a lot easier when I no longer expected to win. You abandon your masterpiece and sink into the real masterpiece.' - inspired by his zen practice. take care x

Oh my, thank you SO much for your message, it means a lot to me ! I wasn't even expecting a reply, but wow, this was a great start of a day ^^ Thanks for subscribing, it's funny and surprising that you said this today, because I am actually planning on filming a video today !! Well, after 1 year and a half in Bulgaria, I just moved to Scotland one month ago ! Trying to find a job atm. But it's been great so far, i absolutely love traveling ! Thank you for your kind wishes, I'll continue to follow you. I discovered your videos a few weeks (maybe month or so) ago, and I've binged watch them hahah ! I will check out Leonard Cohen's words, this quote is beautiful. Thank you so much. xx

I’ve got all my journals on display in a book shelf in my bedroom. I’ve told my whole family “feel free to read them BUT be warned these are my thoughts and you may not agree or like what you read” so far no one bas been brave enough. My six year old Grand daughter is the most interested and l started a “Jellybaby” journal for her when my daughter found out she was pregnant so on her 21st birthday she will get that journal about how l felt at becoming a Grandma. I have daily, themed, grandchildren and loads of travel journals. Each country has its own journal.

it’s gonna sound random, but whenever i’m done filling up a journal, i burn them. somewhere safe where it won’t cause harm and i burn them. it’s freeing cause all your worries and fears are written on a piece of paper and seeing them burn away is like “wow, all of my doubts and worries were really nothing.” and you can move on with your life.

The people who think they can't journal with fear of someone reading it, i can feel that. I have a rlly personal diary in which i have mentioned each and every detail of my life. I simply put with my school notebooks. If someone sneek peeks in that stuff too, you can keep it in your bagpack. Or the best option is to write in code language. Works perfectly. Either you can make wild combinations or can derive different alphabets from different languages to make your own language. Happy journaling! ;))

@taylorswiftreal88397 жыл бұрын
+CcakeAsh What to write about is easy, there's so many things to write about. You can have lists, your thoughts, your day and your reflection, you can write quotes and add sketches, you can write the lyrics from your favorite artists. you can talk about your social, school, home, and family life. Ask questions and answer them. Write letters to people you never really got to say bye to. Be you, be honest, and simply write your thoughts, document EVERYTHING in your life because looking back on it is amazing. There's also HUNDREDS of pages on the internet with prompts for journaling, as well as many journaling flip thru videos with inspiring ideas you can use. And about the anxiety someone will read your journal, I had the same issue. You could buy a journal with a lock, you can hide your journal from everyone, like a secret place in your house or room. Don't take your journal to places filled with people, like a job, schools, stores, basically anywhere really public. You could even keep your journal a secret that not even your friends know about. That way, no one would suspect anything. If someone does read it, don't worry about it. They won't have proof you actually wrote anything unless they take and show the journal to people. I know, it is embarrassing, but it is only you, and if you saw others journals (if they wrote one) it would be the same thing. don't worry about it it isn't worth it.
