Watching the replay, congratulations on your 29th anniversary. I was a quilter, we are in the midst of downsizing and just got rid of all my stuff. Like you, I loved putting colour and patterns together. However my health does not allow me to continue. For the last 4 years I have been stamping, again I am able to work with colour and being creative.

Today's video was so encouraging for me. I'm a new demonstrator and LOCW S U, but I lack confidence in sharing with others. My cards are pretty, but I see their faults and am not a fast stamper. I am starting to share with others.

Nice memories of the early years; I've been a Stampin Up! customer for years and remember going to either a party or to the demonstrator's house where all the orders were hand-written out on huge carbon order sheets and then mailed off. Happy Anniversary Patty!!!!!! We just back from a 11 day Alaskan cruise 🚢 departed from port of San Francisco, we live in Murrieta California it’s by Temecula and about 40 miles from San Diego. We celebrated our 45th anniversary and my husband 68 th birthday

Happy Anniversary! We have so much in common. I am a CA girl too. I did the Rose Bowl floats too, Rand McNally float with Neff High School in La Mirada. My dad was also an engineer and we lived in Dublin. We are even the same age. I have 3 sons. I do love your videos. I have been with Stampin Up since 1998. Sadly lost all my old stamps in the Camp Fire. Thanks for sharing your love of stamping.

I just watched your replay and it was so much fun listening to you about Stampin up as I have only joined about 6 years ago, my twin sister was the one that got me interested in it! I love to sew and sew birthday gifts for my grandchildren and then send them an active fun fold card to go with there gifts! Just love to listen to your story of how you started out Patty. What a great journey you have travelled. You are very inspiring and I love watching your videos and learning new techniques and ideas from you. I am now retired and can't decide whether or not to start some local workshops to teach others how to make cards/ papercraft. i am a very confident person as I used to work in school/classroom so that doesn't worry me, it's the time scale, how regular to hold them, how much to charge per class. those type of things. I live in a smallish village, with no crafting shops or incentive to inspire people. Crafting has helped me in many ways including getting through Breast cancer and Bereavement. I feel that it might be the answer to other people too. I just don't want it to take over my life so I don't get the relaxation of crafting anymore. Any advice. xxxx

Bless you for getting through breast cancer treatment!! That is wonderful!! Sounds like maybe a once a month crafting day with local friends might be a perfect way to fill that desire in your heart to share your crafting without it taking over!!

I'm sure you know this by now, but there WAS another stamp set that you could use the dies with.... just ordered it from Ebay; such a suitable set for people with that horrible disease... or other illnesses. I was originally sent to your blogs by Leena Girsha, who likes the way you teach.

Happy Anniversary! and Happy Stampaversery! I loved listening to your journey into Stampin UP! I started stamping with Close to My heart in the late 80's and then started scrapbooking with Creative Memories and even became and demonstrator with them. I have the old wooden block stamps sets and I think the oldest one with Stampin Up! is from 1993. I too am about 20 years behind in my "family" scrapbooks because I got sidetracked with card making and that is what I do most of the time. I am not crafty nor creative so I love watching you because you are a great teacher and now I know why! It runs in your family to be creative. You carry the banner well. Thank you for all you do. Wish I could have known you before I signed up I would love to be in your downline. LOL! Thank you so much for sharing your journey.

I earnestly tried to be a quilter but alas, I could not sew a straight seam no matter what I did! I did Tole painting and both cross stitch and counted cross stitch and embroidery. I do sew but quilting was just beyond me. Stamping was instant gratification in comparison. I’ll never give it up😊

How did you get over your shyness? You seem so comfortable presenting. I know you said you practiced in front of your husband, did that help? Did you make a script or memorize what you wanted to say. I’m shy speaking in front of groups, I’m much better one on one. I do push myself to get out of my comfort zone but thought you might have some tips. Patty, happy Stampiversary and happy Anniversary! I have a question for you -- you talk often about your husband and your son -- does your son share the artistic talent you have and your dad had? I know your husband and son help you with various aspects of your SU business. I have not heard you talk about your daily devotional stamping/journaling. Can you point me to any of your videos related to that? I bought your million dollar set off of E-bay after the first time I heard you talk about it. Realistically, there are not that many million dollar achievers, I would love for SU to keep all of them available as part of their online exclusives.

I was afraid that I would have to give up cross stitch a few years ago until I let technology help me out. With every new project, I take pictures of the pattern with my iPad. That way, I can enlarge the portion that I’m working on and can continue to cross stitch!
