As for the first paragraph you wrote, it's a practice in our religion that the pious person in our community give a little bit of dates in the new borns mouth. What is the issue with that? In high school I was uncomfortable and embarrassed to be viewed as a muslim and strayed away a little away astagfirullah, may God forgive me. Alhamdulliah, I'm now much closer and just started to observe the hijab too and a lot of these videos and seeing reverts that are so kind-hearted and captivating in speech and manner made me become closer and be proud to be a muslim. Sunnyllaneous peace ✌🏻 Rather than a midlife crisis i would say it was an awakening of the soul or fitrah as they say in Arabic. I had a similar thing happen to me at 23 years old and i left the Jehovah’s witness faith to become a Muslim. Islam answered all of my questions and concerns i had with the Christian faith/s and actually encouraged these questions. The Quran says that we should reflect and ponder and seek for knowledge.

I am not religious personally but I found this video so interesting and empowering in a way to see you becoming who you truly want to be. Especially the process of researching, learning and growing that you went through. Living in London and working in the very diverse transport industry I was around a lot of Muslims for the first time in life. For example many of my colleagues fasted. I had very good female Islamic friends who did not wear Hijab but were practising and all those showed me that the image in the West of Islam being anti-feminist simply wasn't accurate (for example one of Muhammad's wives Aisha). The problems that exist are much more political and cultural than religious. Not quite sure where I am going with this, I don't share your beliefs but I respect them and I look forward to following your journey.

I did not expect to see so many reverts from different countries and it fills my heart with so much joy and love. I am a Chilean, born and raised in Canada. I have been in the process of converting to Islam for a few months. I just finished my university Islamic course, have been reading through my own Quran, and researching online. This is all very new to me and I have found myself feeling overwhelmed that I will not be “prepared” enough, or know enough, or my fear comes maybe not representing myself as a proper Muslim. The scholars have written that the wife of Abū Hudhaifah Radhiyallāhu Anhu poured her milk into a utensil from which Sālim Radhiyallāhu Anhu drank the milk. He did not drink directly from the breast of Abu Hudhaifah Radhiyallāhu Anhu’s wife. You can try your best to find faults, but you will not find faults in Islam. The reason is because this religion is from God. You on the other hand, trying your best to lie and create mistrust. You are the one who is following the footpath of the Satan. If you are truthful, then you will apologise, repent and ask God to guide you to His path.

Hearing this story and especially how the hotels were cheap and the bus was cheap and everything was made easy for her to travel to Madinah just shows how Allah bestowed his favour and guidance because her going to madinah was truly meant to be. I remember watching your vlog in Medina. And I was shocked as to how on earth did you manage to reach there. First emotion was definitely anger. And then I realised that the anger stemmed from jealousy. Jealous because there are millions of muslims including me who would die to visit there and they are unable to. Thats when I realized, only the chosen ones would reach there. A person can do whatever they want, but unless they are invited, they will never reach there. Once that sunk in, I was wondering what would happen next - Will u see the signs and make a decision. Or would you see the signs and still ignore ? Here we are.... You made the choice and am thinking to myself - This Girl should be really blessed to be chosen by Allah. Remember - even Prophet Muhammads uncle was not lucky enough to embrace Islam. But you did. Which means God Chose you. Which means you are special. To make a decision is difficult. But even more difficult is to ensure that you be consistent in the straight path. Well....he guided you so far. And I am optimistic that he would guide you further. Last but not the least - you did mention about the PEACE you attain in Medina. What a wonderful video. This was very inspiring especially for someone like me who has been in the exploration state about Islam. Having grown up in Hindu religious environment, followed by very western life style in the later half, I find myself completely lost especially through this pandemic. The Revert videos like yours are great help and may even prove life changing. I literally got goosebumps when you were talking about your time in Saudi. Also, your realization moment about the word 'Akbar' got to me as well. I have felt same about another word 'Noor'. Anyways, thanks much for this video.
