Maybe you can help me. I know that faith without works is dead. I know salvation requires belief and faith. It requires turning your life or will over to God. My question is how? How, specifically do you turn your will over? How do you know the transfer is complete? People keep explaining it to me with ridiculous metaphors about knocking on doors, taking the steering wheel, and entering into personal relationship with Jesus. I dont understand HOW to do what is being suggested. How do you turn your will over? Do you simply sit still and do nothing till God takes over? What if you have to go to the bathroom? How do you know if God is telling you to do something? Is is just a feeling? Like an emotion? How do you know its God not you? What do people mean about living/feeling God in their hearts? They dont mean the electrical blood pump in their chest, so what do they mean? Faith is trust, but how do you trust a command or instruction you havent heard? How do you hand things, open doors, sit at tables when those things, doors and tables are all metaphorical? Im going to hell if I cant figure this out, and nobody will answer my questions. I would follow and trust ANY instruction God gives me, but I havent heard any instruction. I want to have faith and turn my will over, but i literally dont know HOW to do that. Please help me.
