Interesting report. For me, as a Swedish citizen, I never felt the urge of going up north, but it is amazing to see that you can travel throughout the whole of Sweden by train with just one change. From Malmö to Stockholm, then Stockholm to Kiruna. Thank you for the film!

You should! It's beautiful. I've done the trip a few times tbh. both in the winter and summer.

For me, as a Swedish citizen raised 100 km North of the Arctic Circle, it sounds ever so weird that my fellow countrymen don't wish to see the most beautiful part of their country. Imagine if the people from Northern Sweden would have the same opinion about visiting Sweden's central and northern parts...

I come from Luleå (in the north of sweden) and i have been on those trains countless times over the years. They have been the same since the 60s or 70s and the only thing that has changed is the colour of the seats..
@after30112 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing your experience! Those seats might carry thousands and thousands of different stories. The "vintageness" of that train gave a special touch to my trip! I loved the experience of an overnight train and I will be back soon

I hope you´d like the little you saw of Luleå, it´s my hometown. About the weather, it´s not usually that cold. Below 30 C. You just was unlycky and picked the coldest time of the year. The last week in January or the first week in ferbruary.
@after30112 жыл бұрын
I found Luleå so cute! I love the winter landscapes, but during summer it might be also so beautiful! But I tell a secret: I love the cold! It was harsh to experience -30 for the first time, but I loved the experience! And I am also in love with Sweden! I am coming back soon! Thank you for watching :)

Hello new subscriber here. What is your story? Would you do a Q&A? Are you travelling? Working or just figuring out life? Looking forward and thank you. Much love
@after30112 жыл бұрын
Hi Lena! Welcome! Thank you for your questions! A Q&A is a great idea! Yes, I work , but I don't believe we ever stop figuring out life! I can tell you that I didn't find all the answers I have been searching for. I would love to tell a bit of my story and even have a video ready to shoot about this topic. As soon as I finish my travel series this might be the next one! Thank you so much for your support

Hello, thank you for amazing videos. I watched and loved all your artic experience videos:) I am also planning to have the same train experience to Abisko. You have said that your train was canceled because of weather conditions. Did you buy a refundable ticket or a non-refundable one? Because I will buy a train ticket in a couple of months and I am unsure if I buy a non-refundable ticket and the train will be canceled, should I pay for a new one? Thank you :)
@JiggyGinJoints21 күн бұрын
By EU law they will have to re book you if canceled. Also they need to refound for delays. A few hours half and more all even though you still arrive your destination. But unfortunatly the norwegian thiefs National railway company VY have handled to train for a few years and they do none of the above. Instead they shut down support and ghost people. Regarding the cold its never been a problem before them, they just dont seem to like running trains. Luckily for all they lost the contract early and swedish national railway takes over from new years 2024. They will still run the same worn down trains, but in the past they have managed to run them in the winter and when delayed promptly offer service according to law, unlike the horrible Norwegians. So if you didnt already suffer VY, wait until next year to take the trip. I fly for now. Lost to much money to the oil money thieves.

Can you tell me what is temprature mentained inside train?
@after30112 жыл бұрын
Hey Jenny! Inside the train the temperature is warm enough for you to be with t-shirts 😊 I would say around 20°C, 22°C

Just a comment - the name "Abisko" is pronounced "aa-bisko" (stress on the first syllable, not the second one). Glad you enjoyed your trip! An advice - skip the music in your videos. It's way too loud and adds nothing to the viewer's experience.

I'm not sure if you will read my comment. But here it goes I'll be turning 30 this Dec, and I've been wanting to do a trip like this for some time now. I've traveled almost all over the world, and this is on my bucket list. Given the fact that live in stockholm as well is a huge plus as I didn't even know there is a sleeper train directly to Kiruna. I really want to do it in January or by Feb 2023, depending on my shift/work. I've watched all your videos, and I'm a super fan of you now. Is it possible to connect you on instagram and ask you a few questions about it, please? You just kindled my passion for this trip again. Thank you again for this wonderful vlog. Lots of love and hugs!
