Hi Yvette, I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. If you go straight north of Montana you will reach Alberta. We are much warmer than Montana. I started watching your videos last year. I am so pleased at what you are teaching me. I have been quilting for 3 years now and I'm still learning everyday. I took 2 classes in quilting. My teacher told me my hand sewing was too good , that she didn't want me in her classes anymore. So I feel there is room for anyone who wants to sew. I just hope that people can accept everyone. So funny.......and I have had a Janome, two of them over time, and traded up to a 770QE Bernina years ago, and would never have a Janome again. lol It sews a perfect 1/4 inch and you never have to draw the lines on every piece you sew anymore. Good thing there are lot of choices out there. I know someone who loves a Juiki. Sounds like you are making great headway on your quilt. It is going to be beautiful. Can hardly wait to see it. Montana is nice in summer.

Glad you're having a good time! I considered being an instructor, but frankly there were too many rules for me. Lol. I'm glad you're making such good progress! It always takes me a year start to finish. Quilting always takes 6 weeks.

I have to use one of your words … Amazeballs that is absolutely gorgeous! Take your time on making choices in getting into too many projects. Life is strenuous as it is..and you have full time work..a small fabric shop…hubby and your fur babies that need to be included into the day! I am 66 and retired now and thru your eyes I now look back when I worked 2 full time jobs ..watch my grandkids and no time for me, myself and I! Wishing now I would have spent more time with family in fun things! After I did quit one job I was able to teach the 3 granddaughters to make simple quilts just in time for sports at school to take over their lives! Relax…take that deep breath and most of all think..plan before you take the next leap! Take care ..enjoy the retreat!

Hey girl...you may have learned that this is my standard greeting for my friends, and I consider you a friend. I'm sorry you're dealing with some of life's difficulties, and you're right, we all have them no matter what kind of front or smile we put out there. I haven't "known" you long, but what I do know is how strong you are, and that you can and will get through whatever it is you are going through. Remember the mantra, "We can do hard things." That has helped me if I make myself believe it, and I believe in you and that you can do hard things too. Hang in there, and enjoy your time sewing...we all have your back.♥️

Just finished watching rest of your video and journey on this retreat, crying ,rat nest brought me back memories as child when I had long thick curly hair! I’m so happy your embracing every moment there, there is so much to learn out there in quilting and sewing world and everyone can learn from all sorts individuals. I’ve only seen couple of your KZbin videos found you. Through Stephanie And I’m excited to possibly join and learn Fpp.as I’m intimidated by it. Montana is Beautiful! But so cold. That wind will cut through a person. I was there in April of 2018. .and it was soooo cold. But was amazed at all the coffee shops, and I thought Starbucks had a lot here. Daughters name is Falisha, and she loves it there. Moved after our Vacation trip.

Your quilt is sooo beautiful! No offense taken on the Bernina. I have had a 440QE for around 15 years. It still works great and I would be scared to trade up as I might not like a new one as much. So I’ll use it till it quits, lol. Besides piecing, I also machine quilt all my quilts, up to queen size, on it. So I’ve definitely gotten my money’s worth. But that’s why they have all brands of machines. Something for everyone! I also have a white featherweight I also use for piecing. It sits in my tv room lol. How great that Judy wanted to know about your designing and your subscription box! So cool! You are the most real person I watch on KZbin. That’s what I love about your channel. Thanks for the update....if you have the chance check out Judy's warehouse there in Kalispell the group there are amazing and it is well worth the time. Also there is an amazing quilt shop down town where Judy used to work and learned to love quilting. Well worth the stop.

I am happy that you are enjoying your time and hope that you are learning how to improve/refine those techniques that you already know. You need to give yourself more credit and realize that you are building on your dream. You sewing is so precise, but then that is who you are. I would keep on working toward becoming a JNCI and unless that would be a conflict with you designing patterns, but it sounded like that would not be an issue. Everyone is on different levels and have different styles so there is room in the world for all. Just stay you and all of us that follow you will still be there. Hope she liked your fabric choice and your corner section. Have a safe trip home and we will be excited to hear everything.
