This is such a BS process....when millions are walking across the border into the USA and given monthly checks and housing. And we who follow the legal process, must wait a year or more and jump through hoops. Just not fair. Nice video!!!

It was a very frustrating and very long wait. In the beginning, a lot of people I know, here, in the states told me to just have her come on a tourist visa and then marry her and file an Adjustment of status and she will be here in 4 months, but Gly and I both agreed we wanted to do everything the " right" way, so we filed the K-1. After you file, its nearly impossible to get them to allow her to even visit because shes allready shown intent to immigrate by filing the K-1, so we had to wait long periods between me visiting her over there, and all in all, the " right" way took us almost 2 years for her to finally get her visa, while everyday I watched illegals come right over and get rewarded for doing things illegally while those of us who did everything legally were punished. The system is definately broken.

Thank you SO much for the subtitles. This is like the 10th video I've tried watching from a female vlogger on her experience with the interview. I'm trying to learn as much as I can so I can help my fiance prepare. The other 9 videos started off in perfect English and then randomly started switching between Tagalog and English. I understand that is how Filipinas speak, but the title is English, the description is in English, and the video starts off in English. Just frustrating when all I want to do is help her and can't understand what is being said.

You can do it. The US embassy interview is just a formality. It goes really fast and they are very friendly there. The CFO interview is the scary part, lol. You will be ok. :)

Congratulations! My wife and I decided to just do the marriage first and then file I-130. We got married July of 2022 and I filed the I-130 in May of 2023. We started out at 11 months until decision and got down to 2 months and then got pushed back to 5 months. After getting down to the last week it then says they are experiencing longer than normal wait times. The following week we got pushed back 9 months. We're at 8 months now. She's back working in Hong Kong now and will most likely be going through her process there..... Whenever we get there. Good luck to you with the rest of your process!

I hate to break this to you. My wife and I also opted for the CR1 visa route ( will turn into an IR1 in a month). We did our I-130 in May 2022 and it got approved 3 days short of 1 year. We went to the NVC stage right away, we were documentarily qualified in the middle of June 2023....we have been stuck at the NVC since then, its been 9 months of waiting for the US Embassy in Manila to send an interview letter. At this point....we are stuck at the NVC stage...and there's a lot of people like me who are still waiting.

@@bigdog6598 I say look into the wait time of Hong Kong, and if its shorter go there if its possible...If not, you'll be in the same boat like hundreds of people like me waiting in the Philippines. There are a lot of people who have been waiting for an interview since June of last year, some are May and April but majority are from June and later months of last year. Some people from March and April of last year just got their interview letter last night.

@@bigdog6598here is another tidbit of information that will really make you mad. The US embassy in Manila processed 320K non immigrant visa while they only processed 30K immigrant visa. A couple of months ago, January 2024, the US embassy in Manila only issued 4 CR1 visa. You read that right FOUR!!!!

I dont think we even checked CEAC after the interview. We chose to pick up our visa in major city, Davao, and it took about 5 days. Can take up to 10 days, otherwise.

Btw, if I may give you some inputs, when you have started the video by speaking in English, please don't mixed it with Tagalog or if you have difficulties in speaking English through out the video, translate it in English as running text before you upload the video. Hello @gravillaester7632 This is Erik. Gly asked me to reply on how we did it all ourselves without a lawyer. The best advice I can give is on a resource that made it all so much easier for us. I found this website called VisaJourney.com and we created a free online registration there that gave us a monthly estimate on when we could expect our application to be accepted and it had a huge forum and community that answered all of our questions as we went. No matter what question we had, there were many others who ran into the same questions before us and I could easily search the forums to find the answers we needed along the way, and the absolute best part for me was that the website is 100% free. I never had to pay for access to anything there. I also spent a lot of time on you tube researching along the way even though sometimes the info on you tube was outdated or false. The process is a very expensive one to go through and a lawyer only adds another huge expense to it all. When you add that to the fact that the lawyer will make you do all the running and document collecting yourself anyway, it just didn't make sense to us to pay for an attorney as well.

Congrats sayo..Ako nakalungkot na refused visa ko..kasi Maling spelling namg Parent name ko sa Cenomar.And then nag request sila na magsubmit nang new Cenomar na efollow ko talaga king anong nasa birth certificate na pangalan nang parents ko so nagkiha ako agad nang Cenomar ko at corrected na name namg parents ko..so pinadala ko agan sa LBC kasi yun ang ininstruct sa embassy...So pagkareceive nila sa documents na hiningi nila..Tumawag ang embassy and sabi ibabalik naaman nila yung pinadala ko kasi sila na daw mismo naag request sa PSA namg cenomar ko na direct na PSA ang magsend sa kanila namg Cenomar ko..huh...😢 Di naman ako nagsinungaling ah...Original naman talaga yun at never been marrued naman talaga ako..hayysstt sana possible parin ma ma approve visa ko..kasi ang layo pa namin sa embassy kailangan pa namin lumipad at magbook nang hotel para makapunta nang manila...Goodluck nalng at help me pray guys na eprocess nila nang maayos ang visa ko at sana ma approve 🙏🙏🙏

As long as they have a U S embassy in China, you have nothing to worry about. You should be ok :) We did all of our own paperwork and used visajourney.com anytime we had questions about anything in the forms. Its a completely free site and community of people who have gone through or are currently going through the immigration process. when we search their forums, we found other people all ready asked the same questions and we found the answers we needed.

I have a k1 visa interview in 2 weeks. I am South African but lived in China for a bit. My contact in China emailed me scanned copies of my police clearance certificates. My contact can only ship the originals 3 days before the interview so I think it will only arrive after my interview. Will this be a problem? Will I get denied just because of this?

Hello, this is Erik. It will probably be fine. If anything, they will just continue the interview and then wait for you to bring in the original before finishing it all, but they seem to be alot more accepting of scanned documents in 2024 than they were in the past. Hello ask lang po kasi yung visa ko expired na tapos yung adjustment of status ko diko pa nakuha ang residence permit ko kasi yung lawyer namin na nag process ng AOS ko until now di pa na approved. 6 months na ako dito sa US under k1 visa pero ang visa ko expired na kasi 90 days lang after marriage. Di pa na process ng lawyer ang AOS ko pwede ba tayo ma deport kung sakali malaman ng police na expired na visa ko? Under process pa kasi yung AOS ko sa lawyer.

after receiving our case number is nag fill up na kami ng DS 160 then nagbayad ako ng MRV FEE (visa fee) then nag schedule na kami for my interview then medical
