Medical ko n bukas. Nkkatakot ang sputum.. omg. Maeexpire pa nmn sa july ung mga police clearance ko sa abroad.. 🙏🏻tpos ang tagal ulit makakuha nun,would take 3months.. Bka maexpire na ung visa application namin 😢… Sana po maipasa ko… thank you sa video big help po. God bless❤

Hi Gli and Erik. Congrats on your journey, seems it is getting close to fruition. My fiance had to do the sputum test as well, just finished. Can't find the answer to my question and hope you can help. Do they contact you during the 8 weeks period if the study is negative (doesn't seem they do) or only if positive. Her follow on appointment is April 22 and the notification tells you to wait to make flight plans. My plan now is to book her flight one week ahead of her appointment since they should know by then if she is positive. Thanks in advance for any reply.

Dont do that, lol. They will only contact you if they find TB in her sputum or if they need to reschedule. No news is good news, however, Apr 22nd she still needs to do her interview and the CFO seminar to get clearance to leave the PH, otherwise they will come and take her off the plane and you will lose the money you paid for the flight. What we did is we waited until week 6 of the sputum culture and then booked the interview for as close to our 8 week return to SLEC as possible. The interview is easy, the CFO is the hard interview. After her interview at the embassy, it will take up to 10 days before she receives her visa in the mail, after she gets her visa, then she needs to go online and register for the CFO seminar (they need the visa number to register so you cant register early) The CFO are much more scrutinizing than the embassy. Even when the embassy approves her visa, the CFO can stop her from leaving and they will look through everything from the photos to the paperwork and are very thorough, and its not uncommon for them to request further paperwork from you or her before they approve her exit clearance so wait until you have that scheduled and then book a couple weeks after just in case she needs to bring them more documents. Also, note there is a travel tax she must pay at the airport and show a receipt when she is boarding the plane....hold on, your almost there, just a couple more hurdles to jump through and then your good to go. I know its been a long wait, but you two made it this far, you can wait a few more weeks...it will give her time to say goodbye to her loved ones because it will be a long time before she can return to visit. Let us know how it all went and good luck.

@@glianderik Thank you very much for your detailed reply. Great information and confirmation that they contact only if positive. I should have been more clear, the flight I'm referring to is for the second part of the medical interview. Her medical expires July 18th, so we have time to prepare and learn more. Your advice regarding the flight to the US and the other requirements (CFO and tax payment etc.) are very important to know also. Best wishes to both!! Thank you again!!!

You're welcome. When we were going through all of this, I kept getting hit with surprises so I want to try and help others so they dont get surprised as well. I just learned about the travel tax last week, lol. I hadn't heard about any such thing until then. Im glad I could be of help and good luck!

Hello sis! i hope you can answer my question. May appointment na ako interview sa Embassy this April 16, 2024. Sabi ni SLEC sa online naka post talaga dun na pwede mag walk-in basta within 10days kana from interview. Since wala ng slot na near to my interview mag wawalk-in ako since within 10days naman ung interview date ko sa medical exam. Meron kaba idea na naka experience na tulad ng ganto na case?
