Yes. You need to book your medical exam before your interview date and time. And congrats on your k1 being approved by usics. The hardest part is done. But it’s not over. But celebrate and enjoy this feeling.

Covid vaccine needs to be required in order you fiance to do the adjustment of status. And also to make sure she can fly to America. You fiancé can use the same transcripts on the medical for the adjustment of status. But I’ll talk more on that when I do a video of adjustment of status.

Bryan how long did it take for you get get your welcome letter from the NVC after you received your NOA2. How long did it take your fiance to get an interview appointment at the embassy in Bangkok after you had all your paperwork completed. I thought it was quite some time. Do you know if the interview times has decreased at all?

We haven’t done the interview yet. So we are doing it in May 2023. Pretty soon. And the welcome letter takes about 1.5-3.5 months in an email. So you will receive it on email with a new case number and embassy address. It took about about a week to look for a time slots for interview dates and times to arrange once we finished the ds160 forms and paid the fee.

Did you select the interview date based upon your needs or just first interview date that was available. I am just trying to estimate a time frame so I can plan our wedding arrangements. Also did you notice the tickets to Thailand going up crazy high during non peak season WTH?

@@AntonioMartinez-wo3ei yeah prices are going up now to Thailand because of songkran and Thai new year. But I booked my fiance interview. Based on how much time she needed to gather more evidence to the interview. We plan our wedding date and making sure it’s more than enough time for her to come to the USA and married within 90 days. And also to make sure we don’t miss anything prior to the interview date. We wanted at least one month of getting things in order.

You will need to find a medical hospital or type in medical hospital location in your fiance countries for k1 visa. That way you can book it asap for her results and get it transcripted into English. If there are health issues. The doctor will make a note on the examination. Because they will give her shots and vaccines if it’s allowed. Goodluck and keep me posted

Can you say if my USC Fiancé (petitionioner) shared custody children who, as per the court's custodial arrangement, spends every other weekend with him (the children do not live with him, they spend every other weekend with him) and for whom he does alternate claim on annual tax returns are considered as part of his household size/ count in calculating the household size. He has 3 children with his ex-wife and they spend every other weekend with him and they are dependent on him so I need to know how to treat his situation for determining his current household size and the fact that I, the alien fiance have 3 children, however, I plan to take 2 of my 3 children with me. Please note that our I-129f petition was approved on March 15, 2023, as such, we are awaiting our welcome letter from the NVC and I need some guide re Affidavit of finance support eligibility. You can get a vaccination shot in Thailand. You will need it as verification to come to the USA. That’s what we did in order for my fiancé to come to USA.

Is your case status as "approved" in USCIS webpage? If it's labeled as "received" then you're going to have to be more patient, hopefully you get approved soon! Also for me, it took us 3 months to get the NVC welcome letter, they're working with some delay now. (Also Brian said it took them 2,5 months to get the welcome letter)

@@dagikuku2583 are you doing this process through a lawyer? The same thing happened to me and we had our lawyer contact the NVC, who kindly provided us with the case number. When I contacted my embassy (I'm the beneficiary) and gave them the case number, they said that even if I have the number, I can't schedule the interview because I have to wait until the embassy receives the physical papers and THEN they're going to be sending you the welcome letter with the instruction manual

Whoever is the beneficiary, they have to make a appointment to a medical hospital and they will perform a examination for a K-1 visa. They will have a seal envelope and that envelope needs to be in the interview process.

The NOA 2 approval should take between 14.5-16 months as of now. Hopefully earlier for u. Fingers cross. You got this. Just stay busy and prepare more documents for your future upcoming interview. Yeah you fiance went ahead and did the forms too early. That’s the stage that needs to be last before getting approved. I don’t think there will be an issue. If your fiancé didn’t get a confirmation letter from it and didn’t pay the fee. It won’t be an issue.

@@pavanvemuri yeah. As long as you don’t pay the fee for the ds160 form. Then I think you should be fine. Cause the Ds 160 has a confirmation code. I would wait it out. And wait to get approved. Then wait to the case is at the embassy. And after that pay the fee since you folks done the form. Once you got confirmation on payment. Then book your interview date and etc.

Nope don’t book anything yet. Until your case is ready at the embassy. You can book it after. But once your case is ready. You need to do this first : Ds 160 Pay the fee Book interview appt Then you can book your police and medical exam after. In this order.

Sometimes they can have one or two, but you have to be very quick to submit and to make sure you can get the location and time the interview should take between about 2 to 3 hours depending on the wait time.

No. Don’t do that. You will need to make sure you can fill out the ds160. And pay the fee. Then book your interview and time. From there. It’s better to book your police report and medical exam after that

@@greatbigminds2518 once you get a welcome letter on an email it will have the new case number and location of the embassy for your beneficiary to be interviewed. Once your case is received at the embassy/consulate, you will then go to a separate link to fill out the ds160 form, and then you can pay the fee. Once you finish all that, then you can book a interview appointment time slot. From there you can start prepping and start booking your medical examination at a close by hospital that’s instructed and to book your police examination.

They will say pass or fail. You will get a response back from them right away.
