Excellence👍 Yes,we've seen the short-shafts with points attached w sinew AND a tar pitch-,type material in rock shelters along where the Lower Pecos meets the Rio Grande. Nice Dalton!

Very awesome to see. I have only been knapping for a couple months. It’s inspiring to see what a master can do!

Old farmers on the plateau in eastern Washington used to leave a lot of these around to mess with the archeologists.

Thanks for showing😊 that is some serious fluting! Great examples. When you say back in 2,000, sounds so recent but man, 23 years ago, yikes!

I was totally obsessed with fluting once I figured out how to do it. I made a lot of fluted points then, but these were the ones I was satisfied with. I broke a lot of them too while learning.

I love your work and this video put me in awe. I’ve flintknapped a couple years and still have far to go to someday reach points like yours! Really would love if you’d show the pictures of the Clovis base you found and maybe when you were able to match the pieces!

Thanks so much for watching and your comments. I will consider making a short video on the Clovis base I found and another very unique item.

Those are spectacular works of art.I've worked towards the notion of trying to make an attempt of a fluted point but I just can't get there yet.You have also made some folsom types as well right? Thought I had seen a few in past videos.

Beautiful points!! I especially like the PA Jasper Clovis. I’ve got lots of points made from that same Jasper, but a Clovis is a dream.

Pa Jasper is beautiful stone, I had the opportunity to visit some of those ancient Jasper quarries new Macungie many years ago and I was awed by the variety of colors that Jasper appeared in. I got to walk a field next to one of those quarries and found lots of Jasper in many colors.
@PaHeadhunter Жыл бұрын
@@Paleoman52 The variety of colors in the jasper quarries is amazing. Especially all of the variagated jasper you’ll see there. I haven’t found many points made of that, but it makes some of the most beautiful points you’ll ever see. I’d bet all of the jasper I find comes from those very quarries.
