Always enjoy seeing your work! I have a couple you let get away on the end table beside me, remember the "Knife in the Stone"? Thanks for sharing my friend.

Just when I think it can't get any better, out you come with another case of points! Man, you have done a lot of knapping! Once again, thanks for sharing!

Cases like this really remind me of just how much chipping I was doing back then. I have slowed way down as knapping has taken a toll on this old body, but I still make a few points now and then. Thanks so much for watching this series, I have made a playlist on my channel just for these videos, which makes it much easier to find and watch them.

Kenny - that Etley!!! Great stuff again!
@Paleoman52 Жыл бұрын
I love watching the guys in Missouri pulling those huge Etley's out of the ground and I never really see any other knappers making them, so I had to try and see if I could get the form right. This was an early one and later ones came out even closer to the form I was seeking. Thanks for your comments!

I'm a sucker for Hardin points...but that lil Flintridge Snyder/Lost Lake stole the show for me. And don't even get me started on the octagon case...just WOW!! Keep 'em comin' Ken. Stay safe friend.✌🏼😎

I agree Hal, there is something so special about those Hardin points, such a cool form. I really love that little Octagon case of Onondaga points. Those are some of the all time best ones I have ever made. Thanks so much for always commenting and watching my videos, I hope all is well with you my friend!

It must be an aging thing, LOL! I could say that because it was out of sight it became out of mind. I'm wondering now what else I have forgotten about. Thanks for watching, glad to see you are still out there!

So nice! You gave me the idea to turn points that are not working out, into drills. As a newer knapper i have some that didn't turn out the way i hoped lol so i gonna turn em into drills! Lol great video
@Paleoman52 Жыл бұрын
I can almost guarantee you that every drill I ever made was the result of a point that wasn't going well and I ended up pressure flaking them into a drill. I wonder if that didn't happen in earlier times too.

Reed's chert on the Dalton? Nice examples all around.That Keokuk aside from flint ridge has to be the best lookin stuff IMO.
@Paleoman52 Жыл бұрын
I think you are correct on the chert type on that Dalton. I agree, Keokuk is some great looking material and my time chipping Onondaga has really helped me to chip Keokuk. It can be a little tougher than a lot of stones I work, so you have to hit it a little harder to get it to run flakes.
