YES!! You are teaching your daughters a beautiful lesson. So many women hang on so tight to damaged hair for fear of even trimming it and you are teaching them hair is not what your beauty is based upon. My Mom taught my brother and I how to cut our hair and to this day, I maintain my own short style and keep it low. If I want to grow it I can but honestly not feeling hair at the moment. Gosh that’s got to be really scary having dry hair. I know how much maintenance goes into hair because I have fine textured wavy/straight hair and I get split ends so easy. The only heat I put on my hair is the blow dryer off and on the roots. I o lay do heatless curling methods and I probably only curl or straighten my hair at most a handful of times throughout the year. When I was younger I used to style it all the time because that’s just what you do in school I guess and my ends were terrible and I could never grow it out. Now that I’ve been kind to my hair I can always grow it down to my boobies and have a nice blunt cut of thick ends at the end which is just *muahh* BEAUTIFUL!! I don’t know if curly hair girlies use gloss treatments, but apparently that helps keep your hairs natural oh right so it’s less likely for breakage is what my understanding was.

Cut mine off again last summer after having micro locks for a year. Lol. I just get bored and sometimes I need a break. Once I grew my natural hair long, bra strap length and knew I could grow my hair long. I no longer cared about length and cut it off when I please. It’s a freeing experience.
