She was too big for the car. The car already sits low. That would drag the car. Any damage done to the car the Lyft driver( owner of the car) is in charge for all repairs. For the other lady I've worked the airline. You know how inconvenient it is to pull someone off their flight or solicit for volunteers to give up there seats for a person of size. And if no one volunteers we have to pull someone off involuntarily that's not fun. And I've been in situations when the person is super big you know how hard it is to push that wheelchair especially if there a incline. So yes if a second person isn't available to push we do as that you walk because that's a lot to expect the average person to move you and you are 400-600 pounds. Even had instances where they couldn't fit down the aisle and then they become upset with the agent....but all the other 174 passengers had no issue. They have to recognize they are the problem

Master tech here. Tires do have a weight limit. In a car like that, that car has a max load of around 700-800 pounds. If the driver is 160 and she is 500, the gas weighs 100, the car is over the limit and it could cause suspension damage or a tire to blow out. She did this on purpose for clout and a law suit.

It's very reasonable. I once had a bike tire blowout on me a little outside of my city. There were no busses nearby, so I had to call an uber. Typically I use a small uber for myself, but because my bike is medium sized, I requested the largest option and notified the driver by text that I order the large one because my bike blew out. Driver was okay with it, it was a huge van and it easily took in my bike. It's so easy to be courteous and considerate, but then again I'm Canadian and the lady in this video is American, so her behavior doesn't really surprise me. Americans tend to be short fused, self-victimizing, inconsiderate and loud, and they love to sue, so it makes for a bad combo.

I once drove two 400 lb people, two more average sized people, and myself in my Toyota corolla. When we went over a bump, it scrapped the underside of the car. Not recommended. Edit/update: I was the driver, tallest as passenger, two biggest in the back and the smallest in the middle. We went to Walmart, so on the way back we also had groceries in the trunk. I keep almost nothing in my car, I have important documents, roll of tp, jumper cables, and an ice scrapper (and a spare tire + standard accessories if you count those). My Corolla took it like a champ. No costly damage that I knew of, but that scrapping sound will likely haunt me for quite some time. The car lasted another ~2 years before I was t-boned by a guy running a red light as I was turning left.

Hello, car nerd here. That car was a W212, 2009 to 2016 E-Class Mercedes. Recognize the dash and door handles + height (I have one). The rattle of that engine tells me its a 2012-16 diesel. Starting 400lbs, it WILL start behaving weird even if its a mid-size car. The suspension WILL bottom out on bumps and hard turns thus making it hard on bushings and ball joints. Axles will get a beating on one side specially that its Rear wheel drive or can be optioned as all wheel drive. Not to mention tires, BRAKES!!! All that load on the rear right corner stresses out a chassis. Its just not safe for you or others on the road.

I had a lyft pulled over by police. The driver was fined 100$ and was mad. He cancelled my ride and still drove me to work. Apologizing if he made me late. He told me the ride was free because of the inconvenience. I'm upset I had no cash to give him. That man was so nice. Been fat, skinny, fit the only time I was mentally delusional was when I was a 155 pounds, was told that I was underweight but in my head I truly believed that I was as fat as a pregnant pig. I had to get fat and turn that fat again and then made myself fit before I could see reality. Not that my delusion made logical sense, but it makes sense in the way of how messed up your body image can be even if you've made the physical change, if you haven't done the mental work to prepare yourself for it, the scale is never going to get low enough for your liking. But when you are fat its impossible to ignore. Having to do things that people of that size has to do, forget about being out of breath and not fitting in the car. Most doors are not wide enough without her having to adjust her body sideways to some extent. That alone is going to be a constant reminder whenever she goes around in her home that she can't physically fit through it by walking in a straight line. I was never that level of big, at my max I went from 268 to 155 in 7 months. My reflex would still make me do certain things I no longer needed to do because I fit so easily. The fact that she thinks the world can magically adjust to her suggests not just delusion, she's like an addict when they haven't gotten their fix.

I got the car in and saw the obvious tilt to the drivers side and I’m like okay whatever defective product remove and replace the failed component. Lucky for me I keep all changed parts for 3 months before I toss em and after the whole ordeal I told them let me speak with them. This is the Mercedes E Class (E for Executive) which is one step below their flagship sedan the S Class Mercedes has smaller cars: The C Class, The B class and the smallest which is the A Class. I have a friend who is blind and once he ordered a taxi and when the driver turned up he refused to take him because of the guide dog he had with him and he didn't want dog hair in his car. He threw less of a fuss than this lady he just got out of the taxi and got a new one. He did report the driver to the company because it is a legal requirement to take guide dogs but that's all he did he didn't argue with anyone or anything

My dad is 6’7 and my older brother 6’5 - something they have no control over yet have to suck it up and pay premium prices for extra leg room or first class seats to fly comfortably. My dad only drove extended wheel base sedans or suburban’s/esclades. I can’t imagine being so entitled that your weight, something that you have a lot of control over, is someone else’s issue to resolve when you can’t fit. On these uber/lyft they tell you the type of car that is arriving. There have been times where someone tried to pick me up and a friend up in a mini cooper, so I cancelled the ride and waited for a larger sedan or SUV. I pray for the Lyft Driver who might of lost his job after this. We don't know if this woman ruined his life and made it much harder for that man to provide for himself or even his family. Lyft and Uber are one of the few jobs that people seek out because they can't work anywhere else or its so reliable that it works well for him. I hope that man can still have his lifestyle after this.

I went to six flags when I was in HS, (2010 ish) with my cousins, we went for the summer, and we’re all waiting in line for a rollecestor. As it was almost our turn, this big girl (teen) has a hard time buckling up so the staff tries to help her and using force to buckler her up but after trying for 5 minutes, they tell her that’s it’s not gonna work for her and to get off. Which she respectfully did, no arguing or anything. It was also taking 3 employees to help but the seatbelts only reach for so long not to mention for her safety. Many of us waiting where watching, and felt bad for her but we knew as kids it was for her safety

17:10 Fireman here. Preach has a point here. We get called out for what we call "Lift Assistance" all the time. Sometimes the two individuals who staff the ambulances in our area are not enough to be able to move larger patients so they request us for lift assistance. Not once have I ever heard a patient complain that they need extra hands to help move them due to their size or physical disabilities.
