You asked about the origin of the story: Years ago (late 70’s) there was a book called THE FAN. It was a cleverly written book about this guy who’s in love with a Broadway star and writes letters to her every day, but her assistant never lets her read them. Because his letters go unanswered, his anger escalates and he starts killing people in her world, all hoping to get her attention. What’s really great about how they wrote the book is that the story is told completely through letters, memos, telegrams and police reports.

About the whole Matthew ordeal, Matthew's story is extended in Em's song "Bad Guy." [SPOILER ALERT] So, in the song, Matthew goes along to hate Eminem. He hates him because he thinks that it was Em who killed his brother, and he wants revenge. So, the story goes that Matthew breaks into Em's house, kidnaps him, places him in his trunk, drives off, and throws his car off a bridge as a form of revenge.

14 years girls:- Belli Eilish songs are so sad Anyone who has a brain:- have you ever listen to Stan
@Leo-rd6ly3 жыл бұрын
Both are equally as sad in different prospective. Suicidal teenage girls could relate a lot more to a song from a teenage girl (who turned 18 just last year? Or 2019) rather than a man who does indeed rap facts but hits a sort of mood thats more frustrated and accepting rather than depressed and controlled you feel? It's okay if you don't understand and I get where you're coming from but it's not just about the topic, it's the genre, the mood it all contributes to a song and some teenage girls just resonate more with Billie. Although as a 13 year old teenage girl Eminem would be infact more heart-felt and realistic to me than a Billie eillish song.

@@Leo-rd6ly Stan is literally a story where a guy kills himself and his pregnant wife no disrespect to billie but Stan is definitely more sad
@Dylan-zb5hd3 жыл бұрын
@avfn ye but lots of people still relate to the story Stan... expecially the abuse part in the story where Stan beats up dido a lot maybe not as much driving of the bridge but there still a lot of relatable things in this story that can cause a lot of mental problems so while billie eillish fans suffer from depression and anxiety, where as kids who witness or feel abuse will be scarred for life suffer from depression and will be shy and timid wherever they goes, and as well the mother that will go through the abuse will suffer bad injuries, depression, anxiety, she will be paranoid to find a new bf and worst of all she’s probably gonna have to raise her kid by herself because she’s going to move out of the abusive farthers house or even worse have to give up her kid and put them up for adoption so there safe while the mum still gets beat up

Overall success I say em is better and he was catchy to the entire country. Biggie was the same in the sense that his music appealed to the entire country I am a Cali native and I assume you may be from the west coast if so you know west coast style music was harder to like because it’s so fit to the west period. It should be noted that the chorus/hook is from Dido's song "Thank You." "Thank You" is a very different song that what it sounds like in "Stan." Very different meaning. Very different tone. Dido is the actress in this video playing the wife of "Stan." And "Stan" is played by a Devon Sawa. Sawa, who still acts, was basically a teen heart-throb in the 90's. He became pretty well known for his role in "Casper" (just about every female between the ages of 35-45 today at one point wanted to "keep" him). He was in a ton of other films. Probably most well known for the Final Destination films. And yes, this is where the term "stan" comes from. The entire song is a reference to previous Emimen songs. It is impossible to explain just how massive this song/video was when it came out. The song and video were very influential and controversial. And that doesn't even touch on the craziness of Eminem and Elton John performing this song together later on.
