You did a great job! Although the fire must of been scary, the most important thing is that the family was okay. Love the update and I agree with you the black and white tiles would of been nice.

Kitchen turned out great I really love that floor better I know that the white tile honestly would have been a real pain to keep clean so trust me when I say you did the right thing by not putting that in although it is pretty so maybe later on you can put it in a smaller area like a bathroom or something like that great job on the kitchen tyfs

Looks like you had mostly smoke damage so an easy enough fix just glad nobody got hurt

Yes, the smoke spread all throughout the house. I had to paint the entire living room as well as other parts of the house. It was a lot of work but thankfully it was mostly smoke.
