Hey, I've seen your video last year, and that I made up my mind and bought the pliers. It was a great choice, you've made a very convoncing and true review. Thanks for that!

I have never owned a pair of channellocks but I have 3 pair of knipex and love them.

Your not missing out from never owning channellock pliers. These are so much better and safer to use.

I still believe these are the best pump pliers. Good for pipes yet missing the leverage I can apply using a 2 or 3 foot ridgid

Glue on the pipe thread instead of teflon ribbon!!! How you will open again?

Nice video...I have the 125 cobras. The button has a tendency to get stuck when depressed. I have to jiggle the handles to get them to disengage. Is this normal? Thanks
@amigator77893 жыл бұрын
Yep, this is normal thing on all Knipexes with this "button" system. I have Knipex 8603180 and it's doing same thing. Btw, you don't have to jiggle handles when button is not properly set. Just push them together on object you want to grip, button slips a little bit to the side and locks itself in the right position.

I find cleaning the button area good With wd40 helps. I find just opening the jaw and close will engage that button

I bought a pair to hold a piston rod on a shock absorber from spinning while I remove the top nut. We’ll the 10” Cobras didn’t hold the rod whatsoever. I guess they don’t hold a rod that’s shiny unlike black pipe. I tried many times and all they did was let the rod slip thru them. Very dissatisfied

Which Knipex pliers do you recommend for home use? Knipex 250 or 300.

No going back from these. I have the Klein Klaws which are rebranded NWS and I do like nws tools. These bit like a pipe wrench without the weight

Marred that surface tho. I’m kinda interested in these, im a maintenance man I do a ton of toilets, think these are overkill for that? 10 or 12 inch, for that plastic flush valve nut
@billstools52446 жыл бұрын
I tear apart some gas pipe to fix a leak in this other video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rabbdWqZfp6nfac If you don't want to mar the surface the plier's wrench made by Knipex are great pliers. I should do a video of those pliers have been using the 7" for more than 2 years now and just added the 10" for when I have larger fasteners and need more leverage.

If you had to get one, 7” or 10”?
@feyrband2 жыл бұрын
Depends on pipe sizes you might run into. The 10s open up to 2" so I'd probably go with that if I could only have 1. 7 for tighter spaces of that's more of a concern
@driftx23 жыл бұрын
Too bad they only work for water pumps. I need something something that can open hex nut and pipes.
@billstools52443 жыл бұрын
It will remove a hex nut, even a badly rounded hex nut. I use it on steel pipe all the time. On my other channel many get upset I use these instead of my ridgids.
