I understand so much I started learning 2 years ago and it's never consistent :( But TTMIK does suit me the best, I hope I'll start learning from them regularly. I do watch kdramas and listen to kpop all the time but it's not enough I need to start learning with lessons and structure. And congrats on getting to your level, your speaking sounds amazing 😁

Thank you! and I understand, I was not always consistent either, but I think that's what makes everybody's journey unique :) if you put in just a little time in everyday and have some more structure you will be surprised to see how much you improve! Thank you for watching 😁

So cool to hear your journey, especially your intermediate plateau because that is where I'm at; I felt like I needed something bigger and found a book on amazon by chance... from 서강 as well, but 4B. I probably am more 3A or 3B but financially I couldn't get those right now so I will steep climb myself right into 4B because I'm confident I can make it work. ^^ like you I also listen a ton to the language all the time. I haven't spoken to people yet due to social anxiety but my main goal with learning is to be able to understand tv shows and music and be able to read webtoons and books so speaking to people isn't my main goal. I know it will fall into place when time feels right. English is my second language and it too worked itself out in the end so I don't feel worried. :)
@aliahfx2
@aliahfx2 2 жыл бұрын
That's really impressive! Is the 4b all in Korean? The plateau can be really discouraging, but the fact that you're pushing yourself will definitely help you improve! That's what I had to do. If you don't feel comfortable speaking with Koreans, you could try talking to yourself and recording your voice! And I have the similar goals currently. I haven't been studying Korean much this year, but I do want to be able to read and watch things without subtitles one day. Also your English is amazing, I would've never known that it isn't your first language :)

in your previous video, you mentioned that yiu learnt the vocabulary words + sentence together. Do you actually memorise the whole sentence, or just get an idea of it?

I have a question for you, need i a teacher to learn Korean or is self-study more useful?
@aliahfx2
@aliahfx2 2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I think it just comes down to preference. Most of my Korean knowledge comes from self studying. There are pros and cons to both, but it really depends on what you're looking for. With a teacher, you will have guidance and structure, but with self-study you have a lot more freedom. I think you can become great with both options, it really just depends on your preference 🙂

Hi, I have question for u, after 5 months I want to take a topik exam and now I am level 2A can I get level 4 between these months🥺
@aliahfx2
@aliahfx2 2 жыл бұрын
Hello~ it's hard to say since I don't know your exact strengths and weaknesses in Korean, but what I will say is that you could improve a lot within 5 months if you use the right studying techniques. I'd recommend trying out the topik practice exams online. You'll see where your strengths and weaknesses are. I actually uploaded a video on how I got level 5 during a 5 month studying sprint and I have a lot of tips in there. I was already intermediate when I started studying, but I would have failed had I not practiced and studied the exam itself. You really just need to learn the tricks to successfully finding the answers quickly along with learning lots of vocabulary. I hope this helps and thank you for watching! You've got this! 화이팅 😄
