I enjoyed the video on your collection. I bought all of the reissues, both English and German versions. Kling Klang did an amazing job with the covers, inserts, booklets and colored vinyl.

I love your videos, man. The fact that you're unapologetically just an honest guy who's been around and talks about music he likes makes you one of the most unique channels on this platform. It's refreshing to listen to/watch such a genuine human being sharing his thoughts on things. It's simple and strangely engaging. Thanks for doing this! As for requests, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on New Order. Edit: Oh! I'd also love to hear you talk about Meat Beat Manifesto if you're into them.

Thanks a lot, man! That's really encouraging to hear. And hell yes, I love Meat Beat! I've been meaning to discuss them for a while, and I definitely will at some point. And New Order, of course. My first concert ever!

Thank You For Sharing. The Autobahn Vinyl has just saved my life over and over again. The album art itself is life changing!

Love Ralf & Florian, especially the last track "Ananas Symphonie". Great meditative collage with slide guitar that sounds like a weird Krautrock/Hawaiian blend. Album was released in '73 in Europe, '75 in the US. Pretty sure it's not streaming anywhere, so it seems Kraftwerk aren't proud of the first 3 albums, which is a shame because it shows the humanity. Two dudes in a room with some gear making cool, new sounds. SIDE NOTE: seeing them this summer in Arkansas (brain melting).

Hell yes! They're so fun live, especially with the 3D shit spinning around them.

The thing about Kraftwerk is even mid-late 80’s/early 90’s Chicago house artists and DJ’s owe Kraftwerk a ton. Everybody sampled TEE or Music Non-Stop at one point or another.

No doubt. So many great things this band inspired.

Listen to the song Man Machine. Last song on the Man Machine album. That melody is modern pop. It just screams 2020. And it came out in 1978!!!!!! 😮

hey i was born there and grew up running all around East Portland ... lived on NE Couch St and SE Ankeny St near Laurelhurst Park and used to go into Music Millennium nearly every day with no money so the owners would sometimes give me vinyl for free since i looked like a 'street urchin' ... been a big Kraftwerk fan since acquiring The Man Machine about 1980 ... i've lived in San Francisco since 1990 so sure enough was able to catch Ministry on April 16th: Great Show! Very Loud!!! maybe you were there or hopefully attended Seattle show (?)
@occasionalfeelgood232 жыл бұрын
I saw Ministry in Seattle twice at that time. And thank your lucky stars you're not in Portland any more -- this city is a huge shit hole. It's filled with bizarre extremists on the far left, with all the surrounding areas containing weirdos on the far right. Anyone who thinks for themselves is considered the enemy.

Hey, you can never have enough copies of Computer World in my opinion.

@@occasionalfeelgood23 yes definitely 😃 I saw it and took it straight away. Like new, could not believe it. Some people buy a record, play it once ... don't like it much and just leave it there for years... 40 years in this case...

Depeche Mode... sure. You have always something interesting to say and don't forget... there are generations which comes to get to discover this music and might never heard about it...
